PESCO Online Bill: Check and Download Your Duplicate Bill

You can check your PESCO online bill free of charge on the official PITC page, bill.pitc.com.pk/pescobill, by entering the 14-digit reference number or the Customer ID printed on your bill. The page opens your latest bill, which you can print or save as a duplicate bill. Type your reference number in the box below to go straight to that official page.

PESCO bill check by reference number

This opens the official PESCO web bill page (bill.pitc.com.pk) in a new tab. PK Portals is not the official website and does not store your reference number.

Who gets a PESCO bill

Peshawar Electric Supply Company supplies electricity in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa through seven circles: Peshawar, Khyber, Mardan, Swat, Swabi, Bannu and DI Khan. Its website says it serves over 3.74 million consumers.

These circles cover places such as Peshawar, Charsadda, Shabqadar, Nowshera, Kohat, Hangu, Mardan, Takht Bhai, Malakand, Dargai, Buner, Timergara, Dir, Shangla, Swabi, Bannu, Lakki, Karak, DI Khan and Tank.

Two neighbouring areas are billed by other companies. The eight districts of Hazara are with HAZECO, which began working separately from PESCO on 1 July 2025 and has its own bill page. The tribal districts are with TESCO. See our HAZECO bill and TESCO bill pages if you live there.

PESCO online bill check by 14-digit reference number

PITC is the government IT company that runs billing for PESCO. Its page needs no login and no CNIC (national identity card number).

  1. Open bill.pitc.com.pk/pescobill. You can also reach it from pesco.com.pk under Customer Services, then Duplicate Bill.
  2. Leave “Reference No” selected, or switch to “Customer ID” if that is the number you have.
  3. Type the number exactly as printed, digits only, with no spaces or dashes.
  4. If the page shows a security check (captcha), complete it, then press Search.
  5. Check the name, address, bill month, due date and payable amount on the bill that opens.
  6. For a PESCO duplicate bill, use the print option and choose “Save as PDF”, or print it on paper.

Our online bill check page lists the same official pages for every other company, and more guides are in our PESCO bill section.

Where the reference number is on your bill

The reference number is the 14-digit number that identifies your connection. On a printed bill it sits in the details box near the top-left, labelled “Reference No”, close to the Consumer ID.

The Customer ID (shown as Consumer ID) is a different number in the same box. The two are not interchangeable, so pick the matching option before you search.

The bill page does not search by name, CNIC or meter number. If you have no old bill at all, ask your PESCO sub-division office, which keeps the record of your connection.

Pay your PESCO bill online

PESCO bills now carry a QR code. In May 2026 the company said customers can scan it with any banking app, JazzCash or Easypaisa and pay from home.

  1. Open your bank app or wallet and choose the scan or bill payment option.
  2. Scan the QR code, or pick PESCO from the electricity companies and enter the 14-digit reference number.
  3. Confirm that the name and address shown match your bill.
  4. Pay, and keep the confirmation message as proof.

If you do not have a wallet yet, see how to open an Easypaisa account or a JazzCash account. Never share your PIN, OTP or password with anyone. Checking a bill is free, and the bill page never asks for them.

Bill correction: fixing a wrong PESCO bill

  1. Compare the present reading on the bill with the reading on your meter, and take a clear photo of the meter.
  2. Register a complaint on 118 or the online complaint page and keep the ticket number.
  3. Visit your sub-division office with the bill and the photo, and ask for a corrected bill before the due date.
  4. If you believe the meter runs fast, PESCO’s Consumer Service Manual lets you challenge it for a fee of Rs 500 (single-phase) or Rs 1,000 (three-phase). The meter is then checked in your presence.
  5. If the company does not settle the matter, register a complaint with NEPRA, the power regulator, on its website or its Asaan Approach app.

PESCO bill calculator

Use the calculator below to estimate your units and bill from your meter readings or appliance use before the real bill arrives.

Electricity bill estimator

Units not known yet? Add each appliance you run:

Estimate only. It uses the base residential tariff notified in February 2026 (S.R.O. 279(I)/2026) and 18% sales tax. Fuel price adjustment, quarterly adjustment, surcharges, electricity duty and income tax change from month to month and are not included, so your real bill will be different. Always go by the bill issued by your company.

The result is an estimate only. Your actual PESCO bill follows the tariff notified by NEPRA and adds adjustments and taxes.

Problems and fixes

  • Bill not found or number invalid: count the digits, remove spaces, and check that the right option (Reference No or Customer ID) is selected.
  • Wrong company: Hazara and tribal district connections will not open on the PESCO page.
  • Old number stopped working: reference numbers are sometimes revised, so use the one on your most recent bill.
  • Paid bill still shows as arrears: keep your payment confirmation and file a complaint with it.
  • Cannot pay in full: ask your sub-division office about a due date extension or instalments before the due date passes.
