IESCO Online Bill: Duplicate Bill Check and Payment

To see your IESCO online bill, use the “Get Duplicate Bill” link on iesco.com.pk. It leads to the official PITC page, bill.pitc.com.pk/iescobill, where you enter your 14-digit reference number. Islamabad Electric Supply Company (IESCO) shows the full bill there free of charge, ready to print or save. The box below sends your reference number to the same official page.

IESCO bill check by reference number

This opens the official IESCO web bill page (bill.pitc.com.pk) in a new tab. PK Portals is not the official website and does not store your reference number.

IESCO bill check online: step by step

  1. Open iesco.com.pk and tap “Get Duplicate Bill”, or go directly to bill.pitc.com.pk/iescobill.
  2. The form offers “Reference No” and “Customer ID”. Stay on Reference No unless you only know the Customer ID.
  3. Enter the number as one unbroken string of digits. Ignore the gaps on the printed bill and any letter after the last digit.
  4. Pass the captcha if you are shown one and select Search.
  5. Your current IESCO bill appears with units, charges and the due date.

PITC (Power Information Technology Company) hosts IESCO’s billing data. The page will not find a bill from a name, a CNIC (national identity card number) or a phone number.

IESCO duplicate bill: keep a PDF copy

  1. With the bill open, choose the print option on the page or in your browser.
  2. Set the printer to “Save as PDF” to store the bill on your phone.
  3. Print it if you plan to pay at a counter.

IESCO’s FAQ gives one more route: if your bill has not arrived, get a duplicate from an IESCO customer service centre.

Reference number on an IESCO bill

Every connection has a 14-digit reference number. Look for the “Reference No” label in the box of consumer details at the top of the bill. The same number is on the payment slip at the bottom.

The Customer ID is a different number, normally 10 digits, shown with the consumer details. Tenants should note that the reference number belongs to the connection, so it stays the same when the occupant changes.

Reading the IESCO bill in plain words

Start with the dates: the month billed, the day the meter was read, the issue date and the due date. IESCO says meters are read every month on the reading date shown on the bill.

Next come the previous and present readings. Subtract one from the other to get the units billed, and compare the present reading with your meter.

The charges have two parts. IESCO’s part is the cost of electricity, fixed charges where they apply, a monthly fuel price adjustment and a quarterly adjustment. The government’s part is taxes and duties such as general sales tax and electricity duty.

At the bottom you see arrears, the amount payable within the due date and a higher amount payable after it.

Two notes can appear. IESCO’s FAQ says “def est” means the meter is defective and the month was billed as an estimate. “Slab benefit” is an automatic adjustment when accumulated units are billed together.

Domestic units are charged by slab. The tariff guide lists protected consumers (low-use homes, with slabs up to 200 units and lifeline slabs up to 100) and unprotected consumers (slabs from 1-100 units to above 700). Loads of 5 kW and above pay peak and off-peak rates.

For rates, read the IESCO tariff guide. As of October 2026 it shows the schedule notified in February 2026. Later changes are listed on NEPRA’s IESCO page.

IESCO bill calculator

Put your readings or appliance use into this calculator for a rough idea of the coming bill.

Electricity bill estimator

Units not known yet? Add each appliance you run:

Estimate only. It uses the base residential tariff notified in February 2026 (S.R.O. 279(I)/2026) and 18% sales tax. Fuel price adjustment, quarterly adjustment, surcharges, electricity duty and income tax change from month to month and are not included, so your real bill will be different. Always go by the bill issued by your company.

It is a planning tool. The bill IESCO issues is the amount you owe.

IESCO bill payment online

Pay through a bank or wallet that lists IESCO as a biller. Allied Bank publishes these steps for myABL, and other bank apps are similar:

  1. Log in and open Bill Payments.
  2. Add a new biller in the Utility category and choose IESCO.
  3. Enter your reference number or Customer ID.
  4. Check the bill details, then approve with the one-time password sent to you.

Easypaisa names IESCO in its Bill Payments list. JazzCash pays electricity bills from its Bill Payments icon with your reference number and MPIN. Our mobile wallets section covers both.

Never share your OTP, PIN or password with anyone who contacts you about a bill. Keep the receipt until the next bill shows the payment.

IESCO customer care centres, helpline and apps

IESCO lists 11 customer care centres on its website:

CityCentre locations
IslamabadBlue Area (China Chowk), G-9/3 (Double Road, near the grid station), Swan Garden (Shalimar Road)
RawalpindiMarrir Hassan, Chandni Chowk, Chakri Interchange
Other citiesTaxila, Attock City, Fateh Jang, Jhelum Cantt, Chakwal

Phone numbers for each centre are on the customer care centres page.

  • 118 and 8118: call 118 or text 8118, free, in seven languages. IESCO asks you to give your CNIC, mobile number and whether you are the owner or a tenant.
  • CNIC and mobile registration: link your details to the reference number at mnr.pitc.com.pk, the PITC page linked from IESCO’s site.
  • Apps: iesco.com.pk links to IESCO Smart and Power Smart on Google Play. New connection requests now go through these apps or a facilitation centre.
  • WhatsApp: IESCO’s website links an official WhatsApp channel for announcements. It is not a bill-check service.

Bill wrong, late or missing? Fixes that work

  • Arrears shown after you paid: IESCO’s FAQ says to show the receipt of the earlier bill at your sub-division or a customer service centre.
  • Sudden large bill: units may have piled up from earlier months. Ask the sub-division office to check the readings.
  • You doubt the meter: under NEPRA’s Consumer Service Manual you can pay a meter challenge fee, and the company must then test the meter within seven working days.
  • Cannot pay in full: IESCO’s FAQ says instalments are allowed on outstanding arrears, not on the current bill, and need an officer’s approval.
  • Late payment: after the due date the higher “payable after due date” amount applies.
  • Bills keep arriving late: contact the sub-divisional office and download each month’s bill yourself.
  • Still unresolved: complain to the regulator on NEPRA’s complaint page. Its head office is in G-5/1, Islamabad. Complain to IESCO first.

Can I do an IESCO bill check without the reference number?

Yes, with the Customer ID. A name, CNIC or mobile number alone will not open the bill.

Does IESCO send bills on WhatsApp?

We found only an official WhatsApp channel for announcements. Download your bill from the PITC page.

What does “def est” mean on my IESCO bill?

It marks a defective meter, so the units were estimated. Ask the sub-division to replace the meter.

How do I complain about an IESCO bill?

Call 118, text 8118, use ccms.pitc.com.pk or visit your sub-division office or a customer care centre.
