GEPCO Online Bill: Check, Duplicate Bill and Payment
The quickest way to see your GEPCO online bill is the official PITC page at bill.pitc.com.pk/gepcobill: enter the 14-digit reference number from an old bill and this month’s bill opens. Gujranwala Electric Power Company (GEPCO) charges nothing for it, and you can print or save a duplicate from the same screen. Enter your reference number in the box below to go straight to that official page.

This opens the official GEPCO web bill page (bill.pitc.com.pk) in a new tab. PK Portals is not the official website and does not store your reference number.

GEPCO bill check by reference number
GEPCO bills are produced on the system of PITC (Power Information Technology Company). That is why the address begins with bill.pitc.com.pk.
- Go to bill.pitc.com.pk/gepcobill.
- Two choices appear on the form: “Reference No” and “Customer ID”. Reference No is already selected.
- Enter all 14 digits in one run. Do not add the spaces shown on the paper bill or the letter printed at the end.
- If a captcha is shown, solve it. Then press Search.
- Read the amount and due date on the bill that opens.
A GEPCO bill check by CNIC (identity card number), name, mobile number or meter number is not possible on the official page.
GEPCO duplicate bill: save or print it
- Open the bill as shown above and let it load fully.
- Tap the print button on the page, or choose Print in your browser menu.
- Select “Save as PDF” for a file, or send it to a printer.
- Check that the reference number, amount and due date are clear on the copy before you take it to a bank counter.
Find your reference number and Customer ID
The reference number is the 14-digit code for your connection. GEPCO prints it in the consumer detail box at the top left of the bill, in three groups, and again on the payment slip at the bottom.
The Customer ID is a second number, usually 10 digits, printed in the same detail box. Either one opens the bill, but you must choose the matching option on the page.
A new connection has no monthly bill until billing starts. The tracking number on a demand notice is not a reference number.
What the lines on a GEPCO bill mean
| Part of the bill | What it tells you |
|---|---|
| Bill month, reading date, issue date, due date | The period billed and the last day to pay the lower amount |
| Previous and present reading | Present minus previous equals units consumed |
| Tariff and sanctioned load | Your category (A-1 for homes) and approved load, which decide the rates and any fixed charge |
| Cost of electricity | Units multiplied by the slab rates |
| Fuel price adjustment, quarterly adjustment | Changes approved by NEPRA, the regulator, for fuel and other costs. They can raise or lower a bill |
| General sales tax (GST), electricity duty and other taxes | Government charges collected through the bill |
| Arrears | Unpaid amount carried from earlier months |
| Payable within and after due date | The second figure includes the late payment surcharge |
For homes, units are priced in slabs. Low-use “protected” consumers have their own cheaper slabs up to 200 units, with lifeline slabs for very small users. Everyone else is “unprotected”, with slabs rising from 1-100 units to above 700. Connections with a sanctioned load of 5 kW or more are billed on peak and off-peak rates.
Rates change, so check them at the source: NEPRA lists every notification that applies to GEPCO on its GEPCO tariff page.

Electricity bill estimator
Units not known yet? Add each appliance you run:
Estimate only. It uses the base residential tariff notified in February 2026 (S.R.O. 279(I)/2026) and 18% sales tax. Fuel price adjustment, quarterly adjustment, surcharges, electricity duty and income tax change from month to month and are not included, so your real bill will be different. Always go by the bill issued by your company.
Treat the figure as a guide. It shows early if you are close to the next slab.
Pay your GEPCO bill online
GEPCO is listed as a biller in Easypaisa and in bank apps. In Easypaisa:
- Log in to the app and tap Bill Payments.
- Choose the electricity bill option.
- Pick GEPCO from the company list.
- Enter the number from your bill, check the amount shown and confirm.
Easypaisa says bill payment is free for customers. Bank apps work the same way. Allied Bank’s myABL, for example, goes Payments, New Payments, Utility, GEPCO, then your reference number or Customer ID and a one-time password. JazzCash asks for your MPIN at the end.
Keep the transaction ID. Never give your PIN, OTP or app password to a caller who offers to “clear” or “check” your bill. See our Easypaisa account and JazzCash account guides if you have no wallet yet.
GEPCO helpline, app and offices
- Helpline 118: free, open to GEPCO consumers and available in seven languages. Complaints are tracked, and an automated call checks that yours was solved.
- SMS 8118 and online: PITC’s complaint system at ccms.pitc.com.pk also takes SMS to 8118 and has “Track by Reference” and “Track by Ticket” options.
- GEPCO Smart: the company’s app on Google Play, published by PITC. Add your connection with the reference number or Customer ID.
- Power Smart: the Power Division’s app for sending your own meter photo (“Apna Meter, Apni Reading”) and asking for instalments or a due date extension.
- Offices: your sub-division office is named on the bill. Members of the Gujranwala Chamber of Commerce can use the GEPCO help desk there for due dates, instalments and corrections on commercial and industrial bills.
As of October 2026 we found no official GEPCO WhatsApp number for bills.
Problems and fixes
| Problem | What to do |
|---|---|
| “Not found” on the bill page | Remove spaces and letters and check the selected option. The new month’s bill may not be uploaded yet, so try again later. |
| Reading on the bill does not match the meter | Photograph the meter with the date, then complain on 118 or at the sub-division office and ask for a corrected bill before you pay. |
| Estimated bill because the meter is faulty | NEPRA’s Consumer Service Manual says a defective meter should be replaced within two billing cycles. Ask the sub-division for the replacement date. |
| Bill is late or never arrives | Download the duplicate and pay by the due date. Report repeated late delivery to the sub-division. |
| Due date has passed | Pay the “after due date” amount. If you cannot, ask the office for instalments. They are not automatic. |
| GEPCO does not solve it | File a complaint with NEPRA online or at its regional office in Trust Plaza, Gujranwala. Complain to GEPCO first. |
