What NADRA's Pak-ID (Pak Identity) app covers, how to apply and track an application, how the CNIC SMS checks work, and the basics of the FRC and B-Form.

NADRA (the National Database and Registration Authority) issues Pakistan’s identity documents, and most of its services can now be started from a phone in the Pak-ID mobile app, which the app stores list as “Pak Identity”. You can renew or change a CNIC, get a Family Registration Certificate or apply for a child’s B-Form in the app, track the application by sending your tracking ID to 8400, and call 1777 from a mobile for help.

Quick facts

Item

Details

Official website

nadra.gov.pk

Official app

Pak-ID, listed as “Pak Identity” by National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA)

Helpline

1777 from a mobile phone, or 051-111-786-100. NADRA lists it as open 24 hours

Tracking

SMS your tracking ID to 8400, or use Tracking in the app

CNIC check by SMS

Send the 13-digit CNIC number to 7000

What you need

CNIC number (the 13-digit number on your identity card), a mobile number and email, a phone with a camera, and a bank card or wallet

Cost

Depends on the document and how fast you want it. See NADRA’s fee structure page

Pak Identity: what the Pak-ID app covers

Pak Identity is NADRA’s online application service. More guides are in our NADRA section.

CNIC or Smart NIC: renewal, modification (name, address, marital status, photo) and reprint of a lost or damaged card.

First CNIC at 18: possible in the app if your B-Form record already holds your photo, fingerprints and iris scan. If not, NADRA asks for one visit to a registration centre.

NICOP and POC: the cards for overseas Pakistanis and people of Pakistani origin.

Certificates: the Family Registration Certificate (FRC) and the Child Registration Certificate (CRC, or B-Form).

Extras: application tracking in the app inbox, a view of your family record, and appointment booking for NADRA offices.

NADRA’s website also describes a Pak Identity web portal, but its own FAQ says a first CNIC cannot be applied for through the website, and in January 2025 the government announced that the app would replace the web portal. Start with the app. NADRA Registration Centres remain open for everything, and NADRA lists Pakistan Post counters for Smart NIC renewal, reprint and changes of address or marital status.

How to apply online, step by step

These steps follow the order NADRA gives on its Pak Identity page.

Install “Pak Identity” and check that the developer is NADRA. Sign up with your mobile number and email, then log in.

Pick the category. For a card, the path in the app is Identity Documents, then ID Card, then the applicant, then Renewal, Modification or Reprint.

Take the photo with your phone camera when the app asks.

Fill in every required field.

Choose Normal, Urgent or Executive processing and pay the fee.

Capture your fingerprints with the camera and sign on the screen.

Upload the supporting documents the app lists for your application.

Review everything and submit. Keep the tracking ID.

You choose delivery to your home address or collection from a NADRA centre.

Documents and biometric requirements

Photo: the app takes a fresh one. A photo uploaded on the website must be less than six months old.

Fingerprints and signature: captured live in the app. On the website you download a form, sign it, scan it and upload it.

Supporting documents: uploaded as photos or files. The list depends on what you are applying for, and the app shows it before you pay.

Attestation: the app verifies your attester by OTP, a one-time code. At a centre, a gazetted officer attests the form, or a blood relative gives their own biometrics instead.

Payment: Visa or Mastercard debit and credit cards for all applications. NADRA also lists e-Sahulat, Easypaisa and JazzCash for Smart NIC and FRC applications.

NADRA holds the applicant responsible for the information entered. False details or forged documents can lead to legal action.

NADRA card tracking

Find the tracking ID and PIN on your application slip.

Send the tracking ID by SMS to 8400.

Or open the app, choose Tracking, and enter the tracking ID and PIN. Applications made in the app also show their status in the inbox.

Or call 1777 with the tracking ID.

Collect your card on time. NADRA says a card that is not collected is destroyed three months after its final delivery date, and you then have to apply and pay again. A valid CNIC is what other offices ask for first, from a passport application to a payment check on the 8171 web portal.

NADRA CNIC check by SMS

For a quick CNIC check online or by phone, NADRA’s own channels are the only safe ones.

7000: send a 13-digit CNIC number without dashes. The reply gives the name and father’s name registered on that card. It is a charged SMS.

8009: send your CNIC number and its issue date from the mobile number registered with NADRA. The reply lists the family members recorded against you. Reply 1 if someone is wrong, or 2 if the list is correct.

Both codes come from earlier NADRA announcements and are not shown on its current website. If you get no reply, check your family record in the app or call 1777. Websites that offer to show anyone’s CNIC details are not NADRA’s. Other official checks that use your CNIC, such as the SIM check on 668, are in our online portals directory.

FRC NADRA: Family Registration Certificate

The FRC is a certificate that shows your family as it stands in NADRA’s records. Embassies and other offices often ask for it as proof of family ties. There are three kinds:

By birth: you with your parents and siblings.

By marriage: you with your spouse and children.

By adoption: you with your guardian.

To get it online, choose the FRC in the app, pick the type, check the family members shown, confirm the declaration that the data is correct, and pay. A family member who has no 13-digit NADRA number will not appear on it. If someone is missing or wrong, fix the record first, in the app or at a centre.

NADRA B-Form (CRC) basics

The B-Form, officially the Child Registration Certificate, is a child’s record with NADRA. Under rules NADRA announced in April 2026, a child gets it in three stages:

Child’s age

What the B-Form holds

Valid until

Birth to 3

No photograph

Age 3

3 to 10

Photograph

Age 10

10 to 18

Photograph, fingerprints and iris scan

Age 18

Before you apply, register the birth with your Union Council, make sure both parents’ CNICs are valid, and check that the parents are recorded as married in NADRA’s data. Parents can apply in the app or at a centre. For the photo and biometric stages the child may have to visit a centre, and the app tells you when.

Fees and urgency categories

NADRA has three speeds: Normal, Urgent and Executive. The fee depends on the document, on whether it is new, a renewal or a modification, and on the speed you pick. Amounts change, so read the current table on NADRA’s fee structure page, or look at the figure the app shows before you pay.

Problems and fixes

Blocked CNIC: call 1777 to learn the reason, then go to a NADRA Registration Centre with your original card and supporting papers. The fix depends on why the card was blocked.

Biometric failure: clean the camera lens, use good light and follow the on-screen guide. If the fingerprints still fail, book an appointment in the app and give them at a centre.

Data correction: use Modification for the card. Family record mistakes can be reported in the app or at a centre.

Changed mobile number: the 8009 family check works only from the number NADRA holds for you. Update it at a registration centre.

Fake sites and agents: never give your OTP, PIN or password to anyone who offers to “process” your card.

Frequently Asked Questions

How to check a traffic e-challan on the official Punjab, Islamabad, Sindh and KP channels, pay or dispute it, and verify a vehicle's excise record before you buy.

You can do an e challan check in a few minutes with your vehicle registration number: Punjab uses the PSCA portal at echallan.psca.gop.pk, Islamabad uses the Islamabad Police e-challan page, and Karachi uses the Sindh Police app “TRACS 4 Citizens”. An e-challan is a traffic fine raised from camera footage and sent to the vehicle’s registered owner instead of being handed over on the road.

Quick facts

Item

Details

Punjab

echallan.psca.gop.pk and the “PSCA – Public Safety” app (Punjab Safe Cities Authority)

Islamabad

traffic.islamabadpolice.gov.pk/Echallan. Traffic police helpline: 1915

Karachi and Sindh

“TRACS 4 Citizens” app by Sindh Police

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa

Traffic challan verification link on kppolice.gov.pk

What you need

Vehicle registration number. Punjab also asks for the owner’s CNIC (13-digit national identity card number) or the chassis number

Cost

Free to check

E challan check online in Punjab (PSCA)

The Punjab Safe Cities Authority (PSCA) issues camera-based fines in Lahore and other large cities. It names one portal for checking them.

Type echallan.psca.gop.pk into your browser yourself. Do not use a link from a message.

Enter the vehicle registration number as it appears on the number plate.

Enter the registered owner’s CNIC number, or the chassis number.

Tick the “I’m not a robot” box and submit.

Read the list of challans against the vehicle, with the camera pictures for each one.

You can also check and download challans in the “PSCA – Public Safety” app from Punjab Safe Cities Authority.

PSCA sends e challan Punjab notices to the mobile number registered with the Excise department. It says genuine SMS notices come only from the short code 9915 and never contain a payment link or ask for bank or card details.

E challan Islamabad

Open islamabadpolice.gov.pk and choose “E-Challan Verification”, or go straight to traffic.islamabadpolice.gov.pk/Echallan.

Enter your vehicle registration number.

Check the result for any unpaid challan.

In past announcements Islamabad Police named JazzCash, Easypaisa and the JS Bank wallet as payment channels. Use the options shown with your own challan. The traffic police helpline is 1915.

E challan Karachi and the rest of Sindh

Karachi moved to camera-based fines in October 2025 under TRACS, the Traffic Regulation and Citation System. The challan is posted to the address recorded for the vehicle at Sindh Excise.

Install “TRACS 4 Citizens” from Google Play. The developer must be Sindh Police. The Sindh Police website, sindhpolice.gov.pk, also links to the app.

Register with your CNIC, mobile number and email address.

Open the list of vehicles registered on your CNIC, or search by registration number.

Open “My Challans” to see which fines are paid and which are unpaid.

If you cannot use the app, take the posted challan to one of the traffic police facilitation desks. Their addresses are printed on the back of the challan.

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa

KP Police switched on a safe city camera system that issues e-challans in March 2026. The KP Police website, kppolice.gov.pk, links to a traffic challan verification page run by Peshawar Traffic Police and lists a “Raabta” traffic app that confirms fine payments. Use the details printed on your challan, and ask the traffic police office that issued it if the page shows nothing.

How to pay an e-challan

In Punjab, fines go through e-Pay Punjab, the provincial government’s payment system.

Open the e-Pay Punjab app or epay.punjab.gov.pk and choose the traffic challan option.

Enter your vehicle details to get a PSID (payment slip ID) for the challan.

Open your bank’s mobile app, internet banking or ATM, or a wallet such as JazzCash or Easypaisa, and pay against that PSID.

Check the vehicle number and amount before you confirm, then save the receipt.

Look at the PSCA portal again later to confirm the challan shows as paid.

In Karachi, pay through the TRACS app or at a facilitation desk. Whatever the city, never share your wallet PIN or OTP with anyone who offers to “clear” a challan for you. Our Easypaisa and JazzCash guides explain how to set up a wallet.

What happens if you do not pay

Punjab: PSCA asks owners to pay within 10 days of the notice. It warns that the fine can be doubled, legal action can start, and the vehicle can be impounded.

Islamabad: police have warned that vehicles with unpaid e-challans can be impounded.

Karachi: when the system launched, police gave 21 days to pay, a reduced amount for paying within 14 days, and a doubled fine after the deadline. Long delays can lead to licence suspension. Rules can change, so go by the dates on your own challan.

How to dispute a wrong challan

Punjab: the review is online.

Open echallan.psca.gop.pk and find the challan.

Use the review option beside it.

Upload your evidence, such as ownership records or photos showing the plate or vehicle is not yours.

Submit and wait. PSCA says a challan confirmed as wrong is cancelled within 24 hours of verification.

For help in Punjab, call 15 and choose option 6. In Karachi, file a complaint in the TRACS app or at the appeal desk listed on your challan, where you get a token and a committee reviews the case. In Islamabad, call 1915 or use the complaint and feedback forms on the Islamabad Police website.

Vehicle verification Punjab and other provinces

Vehicle verification shows the record the excise department holds for a registration number. It is separate from the challan check and also free.

Area

Official page

What you enter

Punjab

MTMIS: mtmis.excise.punjab.gov.pk

Vehicle registration number

Sindh

excise.gos.pk/vehicle/vehicle_search

Four wheelers or two wheelers, the registration number exactly as on the plate, and a security check

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa

Vehicle Verification under e-Services on kpexcise.gov.pk

The registration details the page asks for

Islamabad

islamabadexcise.gov.pk, the Islamabad Excise website

The registration details the page asks for

Compare what the record shows with the registration book or card the seller gives you: owner’s name, make and model, engine and chassis numbers, and whether the token tax is paid. Punjab Excise answers questions on 1035, and Sindh Excise on (021) 111-374-634. Our online portals directory and e-challan and vehicle section list more official checks.

Why check before buying a used vehicle

E-challans are raised against the registered vehicle, so unpaid fines can come with the car or bike you buy.

The record tells you whether the seller is really the registered owner.

A mismatch in engine or chassis number is a warning sign to walk away.

Until ownership is transferred, new challans go to the old owner, so complete the transfer quickly.

Problems and fixes

“No record found”: retype the number in the same format as the plate. A vehicle registered in another province will not appear on your province’s portal.

Challan for a vehicle you sold: the buyer has not transferred it. File a review with proof of sale and push for the transfer.

SMS with a link asking you to pay: treat it as fake. Check the official portal yourself.

Paid but still showing unpaid: keep the receipt and contact the issuing authority with the PSID or receipt number.

No message received: your mobile number may not be on the excise record. Check the portal from time to time.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I check an e-challan by CNIC?

In Punjab you enter the vehicle number together with the CNIC or chassis number. In Karachi, the TRACS app shows challans for vehicles registered on the CNIC you sign up with.

Is the e challan check free?

Yes. Official portals and apps do not charge for checking. Anyone asking for a fee to “check” or “remove” a challan is not official.

Which number sends real e-challan messages in Punjab?

PSCA says its e-challan SMS comes only from 9915, with no link inside.

How long do I have to pay in Punjab?

PSCA asks for payment within 10 days of the notice.

How do I check an e challan in Karachi?

Install TRACS 4 Citizens by Sindh Police, register with your CNIC and open My Challans.

A checked directory of Pakistan's official portals for identity, SIMs, passports, tax, vehicles, licences and police services, with each site's URL, app and SMS code.

Most online portals in Pakistan that people use every day belong to a handful of bodies: NADRA for identity, PTA for SIMs and phones, the passport directorate, FBR for tax, and the provincial excise and police departments. This directory gives the official website, app and SMS code for each one, checked in October 2026. The quickest checks are by SMS: your CNIC to 668 for SIMs, an IMEI to 8484 for a handset, and ATL plus your CNIC to 9966 for tax status.

Quick facts

Item

Details

What this page covers

Official portals for identity, SIMs, passports, tax, vehicles, driving licences, police services and complaints

Who runs them

Federal and provincial government bodies. PK Portals is an independent guide, not one of them

What you usually need

Your CNIC number (the 13-digit number on your national identity card) and the mobile number registered in your name

Cost

Checks on official websites are free. SMS codes are charged by your mobile network

Last checked

October 2026

Identity: NADRA, Pak Identity and CNIC check online

NADRA handles the CNIC, the overseas card (NICOP), the Family Registration Certificate and the child’s B-Form. Applications now start in the Pak-ID mobile app, which the app stores list as “Pak Identity” by the National Database and Registration Authority.

Task

Official channel

What you send

What comes back

Renew, change or reprint a CNIC; apply for NICOP, FRC or B-Form

Pak-ID app

Details, photo, fingerprints, documents

An application you can follow in the app

Track an application

SMS to 8400, or Tracking in the app

Tracking ID from your slip

Current status

CNIC check by SMS

SMS to 7000

13-digit CNIC, no dashes

Name and father’s name on that card

Family record check

SMS to 8009 from your NADRA-registered number

CNIC number and its issue date

Family members listed against you

The NADRA helpline is 1777 from a mobile phone or 051-111-786-100 from a landline. The 7000 and 8009 codes come from earlier NADRA announcements, so if you get no reply, use the app or call 1777. Step-by-step help is in our NADRA online services guide.

SIM check on CNIC: PTA’s 668 service

The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) runs the SIM Information System, which shows how many SIMs are registered on your CNIC.

Open a new SMS and type your CNIC number without dashes.

Send it to 668. Your network may charge for the message.

Read the reply. It shows the number of SIMs registered in your name on each network.

You can do the same check free on cnic.sims.pk: enter the CNIC, complete the verification box and submit. If you see a SIM you never bought, PTA’s advice is to contact that mobile company straight away and have it blocked. More help is on our PTA and SIM page.

PTA mobile registration check (DIRBS)

DIRBS is PTA’s system for registering handsets. Use it before you buy a used or imported phone.

Dial *#06# on the phone and note the 15-digit IMEI. A dual-SIM phone has two, so check both.

Send the IMEI by SMS to 8484, or enter it on dvs.pta.gov.pk or in PTA’s Device Verification System (DVS) app.

Read the status. “Compliant” means the device is PTA approved or registered. “Valid” means the IMEI is genuine but not yet registered with PTA. “Non-compliant” devices get blocked.

To register a device, PTA lists two routes: dial *8484# from a SIM issued on your own CNIC, or use the registration portal at dirbs.pta.gov.pk/drs.

Passport: online portal and passport tracking

The Directorate General of Immigration and Passports (DGIP) takes online applications at onlinemrp.dgip.gov.pk. Renewal is open to people inside Pakistan and overseas. You create an account, fill in the form, upload documents, pay by debit or credit card, and the passport is sent to you after approval.

For passport tracking, DGIP sends status updates by SMS from 9988 to the mobile number you give at the data entry stage. The commonly published way to ask for an update is to text the token number on your receipt to 9988. DGIP confirms the 9988 service but does not print the message format, so if nothing comes back, call 051-111-344-777 on a working day. See our passport page for more.

Tax: FBR IRIS and the Active Taxpayer List

The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) uses IRIS at iris.fbr.gov.pk for registration and income tax returns. To see whether you are on the Active Taxpayer List (ATL), which is what people mean by “filer”:

SMS: type ATL, a space, then your 13-digit CNIC, and send it to 9966. Companies use ATL, a space and the 7-digit NTN.

AJK: type AJKATL, a space and the CNIC without dashes, and send it to 9966.

Online: use the ATL status check linked from FBR’s ATL page.

The FBR helpline is 051-111-772-772. Our FBR and tax page explains each step.

Vehicle verification and e-challan, province by province

Vehicle records belong to each province’s excise department, and traffic fines to its police or safe city authority. There is no single national site.

Area

Vehicle verification

E-challan check

Punjab

MTMIS at mtmis.excise.punjab.gov.pk

echallan.psca.gop.pk or the “PSCA – Public Safety” app

Sindh

excise.gos.pk/vehicle/vehicle_search

“TRACS 4 Citizens” app by Sindh Police

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa

Vehicle Verification under e-Services on kpexcise.gov.pk

Challan verification link on kppolice.gov.pk

Islamabad

islamabadexcise.gov.pk

traffic.islamabadpolice.gov.pk/Echallan

For vehicle verification Punjab’s MTMIS page asks for the registration number, and Sindh’s page also asks you to choose four wheelers or two wheelers. Full steps, payment and disputes are in our e-challan check guide.

Driving licence portals

Area

Official site

What you can do

Punjab

dlims.punjab.gov.pk

Verify a licence, track an application, get an e-licence, apply for a learner permit. It works with the Dastak app

Sindh

dls.gos.pk

Verify a licence and read the procedure and fee pages

Islamabad

dlims.islamabadpolice.gov.pk

Verify, apply, and apply for a learner permit. Queries: 051-9001541

KP (Peshawar)

ptpkp.gov.pk

Driving licence authentication and procedure

Our driving licence page covers these in more detail.

Police services, complaints and government payments

Portal

Official address

Use it for

Punjab Police Khidmat Markaz

pkm.punjab.gov.pk

Character certificate, police verification, copy of FIR, loss report, tenant registration

Islamabad Police

islamabadpolice.gov.pk

Character certificate, verification, lost report, tenant registration. Complaint line 1715

Pakistan Citizen Portal

citizenportal.gov.pk and the app of the same name

Complaints against federal and provincial government offices, with tracking

e-Pay Punjab

epay.punjab.gov.pk and the e-Pay Punjab app

Creating a PSID (payment slip ID) to pay Punjab dues such as token tax, e-challans and licence fees through your bank or wallet

The police emergency number is 15. Punjab’s IGP complaint centre takes calls and SMS on 1787.

How to tell an official portal from a fake one

Read the address. Government sites end in .gov.pk, or .gop.pk for Punjab and .gos.pk for Sindh. The one exception on this page, cnic.sims.pk, is named by PTA itself.

Type it yourself. Do not open links sent by SMS or WhatsApp. Punjab’s safe city authority says its real e-challan messages come only from 9915 and carry no payment link.

Checks are free. No official portal asks for a “verification fee” to a personal wallet number.

Check the app developer. It should be the department itself, such as NADRA, Sindh Police or Punjab Safe Cities Authority.

Keep codes private. Never share an OTP, PIN or password with anyone, including a caller who claims to be from NADRA, PTA or your bank.

Problems and fixes

No reply to an SMS code: check your balance, remove dashes and spaces, and follow the exact format. Then try the website route.

A portal will not open: official sites go down for maintenance. Try again later or use the official app. Do not switch to a lookalike site from a search advert.

Unknown SIM on your CNIC: contact that operator and ask for it to be blocked.

Vehicle record looks wrong: contact the excise office that registered it. Punjab Excise answers on 1035.

A message demands payment: open the official portal yourself and check there before paying anything.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is there one website for all government portals in Pakistan?

No. Each service sits with its own department, and vehicle, licence and challan records are separate for every province.

How do I do a CNIC check online?

Use NADRA’s own channels: an SMS to 7000 for a basic name check, and the Pak-ID app for your own record. Websites that claim to show anyone’s CNIC details are not NADRA’s.

How can I see how many SIMs are on my CNIC?

Send your CNIC number without dashes to 668, or enter it on cnic.sims.pk.

Are these checks free?

The website and app checks are free. Your network charges for SMS short codes, and you pay official fees only when you apply for a document.

How do I check if I am a filer?

Send ATL, a space and your CNIC number to 9966, or use the ATL status check on FBR’s website.

How to check BISP status by CNIC on the official 8171 web portal or by SMS, what the result means, how the free survey works and how payments are collected in 2026.

8171 is the official SMS code and web portal of the Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP), the federal cash support programme for low-income families. To check your household, enter your 13-digit CNIC (national identity card) number on the official 8171 web portal at 8171.bisp.gov.pk, or send the CNIC number by SMS to 8171. Both checks are free, and you never need to pay an agent or a shop for them.

PK Portals is an independent information site. We are not BISP or a government office, and we cannot register anyone, check a payment or release money. Nothing here is a promise that you will qualify.

Quick facts

Item

Detail

Official web portal

8171.bisp.gov.pk

Official SMS code

8171 (BISP says this is its only official number)

BISP website

bisp.gov.pk

Helpline

0800-26477 (toll-free)

What you need to check

Your 13-digit CNIC number

Where registration happens

Dynamic registry desk at a BISP tehsil office, or a BISP mobile registration van

Kafaalat amount

Rs 14,500 per quarter (as of October 2026)

Cost

Free. BISP charges no fee for the check, survey, SIM or payment

What BISP 8171 is

8171 began in April 2021 as a free SMS service for checking eligibility. BISP now uses the same number for its web portal and for the messages it sends to families.

BISP has repeated in 2026 that 8171 is its only official number. A message about BISP money from any ordinary mobile number is fake.

8171 check online by CNIC: steps on the web portal

Type 8171.bisp.gov.pk in your browser yourself. Check that the address ends in bisp.gov.pk.

The page is in Urdu. Its title is “8171 ویب پورٹل” and the heading asks you to find out about your household’s eligibility.

In the first box, شناختی کارڈ نمبر (CNIC number), enter your 13-digit CNIC number.

In the second box, تصویر میں دیا گیا کوڈ, type the code shown in the picture.

Press the button under the form and read the result on the screen.

The portal showed only these two boxes when we checked it in October 2026. It does not ask for a fee, a password, an OTP or bank details. If a page asks for any of these, close it.

How to check by SMS to 8171

Open a new text message on your phone.

Type your 13-digit CNIC number and nothing else.

Send it to 8171.

Wait for the reply. A real reply comes from 8171, not from a mobile number.

BISP 8171 result check online by CNIC: what the result means

The wording changes from time to time, but results fall into a few groups.

Result

What it means and what to do

Eligible

Your household is within the cut-off. The woman beneficiary gets an SMS from 8171. Collect the free Benazir SIM from a BISP office if she does not have one.

Not eligible

The household’s poverty score is above the cut-off. Nobody can change this for a fee. See the problems section below.

No record or survey needed

The household is not in the registry, or its data is incomplete. An adult member should visit the registration desk at the nearest BISP tehsil office.

Wait or visit an office

Follow the instruction and wait for the next message from 8171.

How BISP registration actually works

There is no online self-registration for Benazir Kafaalat. BISP says the household survey is done only at dynamic registry centres in BISP tehsil offices or through its mobile registration vans, and that the survey is free and needs no form.

Go to the BISP tehsil office with your original CNIC, the CNICs of other household members, the B-Form (NADRA child registration certificate) of each child, and an active mobile number.

At the information desk, give your CNIC. You get a token for a new survey or for an update of old data.

At the data entry desk, answer questions about family members, education, health, assets and income. Answer truthfully.

Keep the token receipt.

Wait for a confirmation SMS from 8171, then check your status on the portal or by SMS.

Eligibility is decided from a poverty score calculated from the survey. The BISP Board sets the cut-off. In an eligible household, the payment goes to an ever-married woman (married, widowed or divorced) who holds a valid CNIC.

BISP says a household cannot be surveyed again for at least two years. Families already receiving payments are re-checked every three years. If your CNIC or B-Form details are out of date, fix them first using NADRA online services.

Kafaalat amount, Taleemi Wazaif and Nashonuma

Programme

Who it is for

As of October 2026

Benazir Kafaalat

Eligible low-income families, paid to the woman beneficiary

Rs 14,500 per quarter, raised from Rs 13,500 in February 2026

Benazir Taleemi Wazaif

School and college children (ages 4 to 22, by level) of active Kafaalat beneficiaries

Quarterly stipend, higher for girls, tied to 70% attendance

Benazir Nashonuma

Pregnant and breastfeeding women and children under two in Kafaalat families, in covered districts

Quarterly stipend plus nutritious food, tied to health visits and immunisation

An official briefing in June 2026 said the Kafaalat stipend is planned to rise to Rs 18,000 from January 2027. Treat that as a plan until BISP confirms it.

BISP raised the Taleemi Wazaif and Nashonuma stipends by Rs 500 in February 2026, but its programme pages still show older tables, so confirm the current figure at a BISP office. To enrol a child, the mother takes her CNIC, the child’s B-Form and a school admission slip verified by the teacher to a BISP office.

BISP does not publish a fixed payment calendar. Do not trust websites that list “confirmed” instalment dates.

How BISP payments are collected in 2026

BISP moved all payments to digital wallets from July 2026. The wallet is linked to a free Benazir SIM issued in the woman’s name.

Collect the Benazir SIM only from a BISP office. Bring the original CNIC and your own mobile phone. Staff put the SIM in your phone.

When money is credited, you get an SMS. The money stays in the wallet until you withdraw it.

Go to any authorised agent or retailer of any partner bank, in any city, on any day.

Give your original CNIC and your thumb for biometric verification. Do not hand over your phone.

A second SMS shows the amount withdrawn. Count the cash and keep both messages.

If your fingerprints do not verify, BISP advises getting a facial verification certificate from a NADRA office (fee Rs 20) and submitting it at a BISP office. To see which SIMs are on your CNIC, use our PTA SIM guide.

Problems and fixes

Result says not eligible: No agent can reverse it. If your family details have changed or were recorded wrongly, ask the BISP tehsil office about a data update. A fresh survey is not possible within two years.

Payment not received: Make sure the SIM was issued by a BISP office, not a shop. Then visit the BISP office or call 0800-26477.

Agent deducts money: Show the SMS and ask for the full amount. Report any deduction to the BISP office or the helpline. BISP calls the full stipend your lawful right.

Message from a mobile number, or a caller asking for a code: It is a scam. Never share an OTP or PIN, and never pay a “registration” or “release” fee.

Someone threatens to stop your payment: BISP says no individual or official can stop or restore payments. Report it.

Ehsaas program and BISP: how they relate

From 2019 the federal government grouped its social protection work under the name Ehsaas. BISP kept operating inside it, and its cash transfer was called Ehsaas Kafaalat. The 8171 service was launched under that name.

BISP’s own documents from 2022 onward use the Benazir names again. The official BISP and ministry websites now list only Benazir-named programmes, so a website offering a new “Ehsaas program” registration form is not official. Other active schemes are in our guide to government schemes in Pakistan and the BISP 8171 section.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is the 8171 web portal free?

Yes. BISP says all its services, including the survey and the SIM, are free of cost.

Can I do BISP registration online?

No. The survey is done in person at a BISP tehsil office or a BISP mobile registration van.

How much is the BISP Kafaalat payment in 2026?

Rs 14,500 per quarter as of October 2026. Check bisp.gov.pk or the helpline for any later change.

I got a message from a mobile number saying my BISP money is approved. Is it real?

No. BISP messages come from 8171 only. Do not reply, click links or share your CNIC.

Can PK Portals check my 8171 result or register me?

No. Only BISP can do that, through 8171.bisp.gov.pk, SMS 8171 and its own offices.

A checked list of the main federal and provincial government schemes active in October 2026, who each is for, and the official portal or office to apply and check status.

Government schemes in Pakistan are run by different federal and provincial departments, and each has its own official portal, office and rules. The safest way to apply or check your status is the scheme’s own official portal or office, where welfare registration and status checks are free. This page lists the main schemes that official sources showed as active in October 2026, and where to go for each.

PK Portals is an independent information site, not a government website. We cannot register you, check a payment or approve a loan, and no scheme below is guaranteed to accept you.

Quick facts

Item

Detail

Federal cash support

BISP: 8171.bisp.gov.pk, SMS 8171, helpline 0800-26477

Federal youth schemes

pmyp.gov.pk

Provincial schemes

Each has its own portal on a government domain (see table below)

What you usually need

CNIC, children’s B-Form, a mobile SIM in your own name

Cost

Welfare registration and checks are free. Some loan schemes list an official processing fee

Main active schemes at a glance

Scheme

Run by

Who it is for

Official portal

Benazir Kafaalat, Taleemi Wazaif, Nashonuma

BISP (federal)

Low-income families, their school-going children, mothers and infants

8171.bisp.gov.pk, bisp.gov.pk

Prime Minister’s Youth Programme

Federal government

Young people: loans, laptops, skills training

pmyp.gov.pk

Sehat Sahulat Program

Federal government

Families covered for hospital treatment

pmhealthprogram.gov.pk

Apni Chhat Apna Ghar

Punjab housing agency (PHATA)

Low-income families who own a small plot

acag.punjab.gov.pk

Honhaar Scholarship

Punjab Higher Education Department

Students in public universities and colleges

honhaarscholarship.punjab.gov.pk

CM Punjab Laptop Scheme

Punjab Higher Education Department

High-scoring students with Punjab domicile

cmlaptophed.punjab.gov.pk

Kisan Card

Punjab Agriculture Department

Farmers in Punjab

agripunjab.gov.pk

Himmat Card

Punjab Social Welfare and Bait-ul-Maal Department

Persons with disabilities who cannot work

swd.punjab.gov.pk

Asaan Karobar Card and Finance

Punjab Small Industries Corporation

Small business owners in Punjab

akc.punjab.gov.pk, akf.punjab.gov.pk

Flood housing (SPHF)

Government of Sindh

Families whose homes were damaged in the 2022 floods

sphf.gos.pk

Benazir Hari Card

Sindh Agriculture Department

Farmers in Sindh

benazirharicard.gos.pk

Sehat Card

Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa

Permanent residents of KP

sehatcardplus.gov.pk

BEEF scholarships

Balochistan Education Endowment Fund

Talented, low-income students of Balochistan

beef.org.pk

Federal schemes

BISP: Kafaalat, Taleemi Wazaif and Nashonuma

The Benazir Income Support Programme pays Benazir Kafaalat to eligible low-income families, Rs 14,500 per quarter as of October 2026. Taleemi Wazaif adds a stipend for their school-going children, and Nashonuma supports pregnant women and children under two.

BISP registration is a free household survey at a BISP tehsil office, not an online form. Check eligibility only by CNIC at 8171.bisp.gov.pk or by SMS to 8171. Our 8171 web portal guide has the steps.

The Ehsaas program name is no longer used on the BISP and ministry websites. Its cash transfer now runs as Benazir Kafaalat.

Prime Minister’s Youth Programme

This programme covers three things young people ask about most. Its Youth Business and Agriculture Loan Scheme had a top tier of Rs 7.5 million as of early 2026. Check pmyp.gov.pk for the current tiers, markup and application form.

The PM Laptop Scheme is run with the Higher Education Commission. Students register at laptop.pmyp.gov.pk with their own CNIC, mobile number and email. When we checked in October 2026, the portal said the next phase was still to be announced.

Skills courses under the PM Youth Skills Development Programme are run by NAVTTC, the national vocational training body. Apply at nsis.navttc.gov.pk or call its helpline, 0800-88866.

Sehat Sahulat and Bait-ul-Mal

The federal Sehat Sahulat Program pays for hospital treatment of covered families. Coverage depends on your region, so send your CNIC number by SMS to 8500 or call 0800-09009 before you rely on it.

Pakistan Bait-ul-Mal helps poor patients, students, orphans and persons with disabilities. Forms and case tracking are on pbm.gov.pk.

CM Punjab schemes

Apni Chhat Apna Ghar

Apni Chhat Apna Ghar gives interest-free house-building loans to low-income families who already own a small plot. At launch the government described plots of 1 to 5 marla in cities or 1 to 10 marla in villages, repayment over nine years and a monthly instalment of no more than Rs 14,000.

By October 2026 the government said about 220,000 families had received funds. Apply and track your application only on acag.punjab.gov.pk, and confirm the current terms there.

Honhaar Scholarship

The Honhaar Scholarship supports students in public sector universities, graduate colleges and medical colleges of Punjab. The Higher Education Department lists 30,000 scholarships a year across 68 disciplines. Eligibility conditions and the dates of each round are published on honhaarscholarship.punjab.gov.pk.

CM Punjab Laptop Scheme

The CM Punjab Laptop Scheme is for students with a Punjab domicile. The department’s published criteria ask for at least 65% in Intermediate for BS students, 80% for medical and dental students, 75% for DVM and 65% for BS Nursing in public sector colleges. Students who already got a laptop under another scheme are not eligible. Check cmlaptophed.punjab.gov.pk for the current phase.

Kisan Card

The Kisan Card gives farmers interest-free credit for seed, fertiliser and other inputs. Punjab had about 900,000 card holders in April 2026. The Punjab Agriculture Department handles registration, so ask its local office or see agripunjab.gov.pk for the current season’s process.

Himmat Card

The Himmat Card pays Rs 10,500 per quarter to needy persons with disabilities. You must be certified by Social Welfare Punjab as not fit to work, have no job, and not be receiving a similar grant from BISP, Zakat or Bait-ul-Maal. Register or update your data at dpmis.punjab.gov.pk. The scheme page is swd.punjab.gov.pk/himmatcard.

Asaan Karobar Card and Asaan Karobar Finance

The Asaan Karobar Card is an interest-free loan of up to Rs 1 million over three years for small businesses in Punjab. Applicants must be 21 to 57, hold a valid CNIC with a Punjab address and have a mobile SIM in their own name. The official page lists a Rs 500 processing fee and an annual card fee.

Asaan Karobar Finance offers Rs 1 million to Rs 30 million for applicants aged 25 to 55 with an NTN (tax number) and a clean credit history. Apply at akc.punjab.gov.pk or akf.punjab.gov.pk.

Punjab also runs a Ration Card, a Minority Card and the Dhee Rani collective marriage programme (cmp.punjab.gov.pk). See our Punjab schemes section.

Sindh, KP and Balochistan

Sindh

Sindh People’s Housing for Flood Affectees (SPHF) rebuilds homes damaged in the 2022 floods. Its site has no open application form. Families were identified through damage assessment, and you can check a case by CNIC at sphf.gos.pk.

The Benazir Hari Card gives registered farmers subsidies on inputs and access to interest-free loans. Farmers register online at benazirharicard.gos.pk. The Mother and Child Support Programme gives cash linked to health check-ups for pregnant women and mothers of children under two in selected districts (sspa.gos.pk). More is in Sindh schemes.

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa

The Sehat Card covers hospital treatment for permanent residents of KP, based on NADRA records, even if they live elsewhere in Pakistan. About 10.8 million families were registered in April 2026. Check sehatcardplus.gov.pk or ask at a panel hospital. See KPK schemes.

Balochistan

Under the Balochistan Health Card, your CNIC works as the card at panel hospitals. BEEF gives scholarships to talented, low-income students, and applications open scheme by scheme on beef.org.pk. See Balochistan schemes.

How to apply or check status safely

Find the scheme in the table above and type the portal address yourself.

Read the eligibility rules on the portal before entering any details.

Register with your own CNIC and your own mobile number.

Save the tracking or application number you receive.

Check status only on the same portal, its helpline or the department’s office.

Documents people usually need

CNIC: your valid national identity card. Your address and marital status should be up to date.

B-Form: NADRA’s child registration certificate, needed for children’s stipends and family surveys.

Mobile SIM in your own name: portals send codes and results to it.

Domicile and education papers: for scholarships and laptops.

Disability certificate: for the Himmat Card.

Property, land or business papers: for housing, farm and business loans.

To fix a CNIC or B-Form first, see NADRA online services.

Problems and fixes: fake scheme websites and messages

Check the address. Official portals here end in gov.pk, gos.pk (Sindh) or a department’s own listed domain. A scheme name on a .com or .com.pk site is not proof.

No fee to an agent. Welfare registration is free. Where a loan has a processing fee, it is paid through the official portal or bank, never to a person.

Never share an OTP, PIN or password. Official staff do not ask for them by call or SMS.

Ignore messages from ordinary mobile numbers. BISP messages come from 8171 only.

Be careful with “online registration forms” for BISP or Ehsaas. They collect CNIC numbers and are not official.

Got a rejection or no reply? Use the scheme’s helpline or office. No outsider can change a result.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is there one website to apply for all government schemes in Pakistan?

No. Every scheme has its own portal or office, listed in the table above.

Is the Ehsaas program still open for registration?

Federal portals now use the Benazir names. Registration is the BISP survey at a tehsil office.

Do I have to pay to apply?

Not for welfare schemes such as BISP or the Himmat Card. Some loan schemes list a small official processing fee.

Can I apply for a CM Punjab scheme from another province?

Usually not. CM Punjab schemes ask for a Punjab address or domicile.

Can PK Portals apply or check my status for me?

No. We only explain the process and link to official portals.

Jazz prepaid monthly, weekly and 3-day packages confirmed on jazz.com.pk in October 2026, with prices, codes, and how to subscribe, check usage and fix common problems.

A Jazz monthly package gives you data, minutes and SMS for 30 days in one payment. The fastest way to buy one is the SIMOSA app (Jazz’s official app, listed on Google Play as “SIMOSA – Jazz World”) or the bundle’s own code, such as *733# for Monthly Freedom.

The packages below were read on jazz.com.pk in October 2026. Jazz can change prices at any time, and the app or site always shows the final price including tax.

Quick facts

Item

Details

Official website

jazz.com.pk

Official app

SIMOSA (app store name: SIMOSA – Jazz World)

Helpline

111 from a Jazz prepaid SIM; 042-111-300-300 from other networks

Jazz WhatsApp

0300-3008000 (send “Hi”)

Jazz balance check code

*111# (Rs 0.24 per check)

What you need

A Jazz prepaid SIM in your name and enough balance

Prices last checked

October 2026

Jazz monthly packages: hybrid bundles

Hybrid bundles mix data, calls and SMS. These are the nationwide and listed monthly bundles as of October 2026.

Package

Price (incl. tax)

What you get for 30 days

Code

Monthly X Plus

Rs 2,695

200 GB, 5,000 Jazz minutes and SMS, 1,500 other-network minutes, 40 international minutes, handset insurance

*872#

Monthly Freedom

Rs 2,608

100 GB, 3,000 Jazz minutes and SMS, 750 other-network minutes

*733#

Monthly YouTube & Social

Rs 608

10 GB for YouTube, Facebook and WhatsApp, 300 Jazz minutes, 50 other-network minutes, 300 SMS

*620#

Monthly Bachat Offer

Rs 478

6 GB for WhatsApp, IMO and Tamasha, 300 Jazz minutes, 50 other-network minutes, 1,000 SMS

Offer page; selected customers only

The price is what leaves your balance. Jazz also states that 15% advance income tax is taken from every recharge, so you must load more than the price. Its Monthly X Plus page, for example, shows a load of Rs 3,100 for the Rs 2,695 bundle.

Jazz internet packages for one month

In October 2026 Jazz’s prepaid pages list four low-cost monthly data packs, each for a single app.

Package

Price (incl. tax)

What you get for 30 days

How to subscribe

Monthly YouTube

Rs 104

5 GB for YouTube

Offer page on jazz.com.pk

Monthly TikTok

Rs 104

5 GB for TikTok

Offer page on jazz.com.pk

Monthly Instagram

Rs 104

5 GB for Instagram

Offer page on jazz.com.pk

Monthly Snapchat

Rs 104

5 GB for Snapchat

Offer page on jazz.com.pk

These four are not available in AJK and Gilgit-Baltistan. Jazz also shows a 15 GB monthly data offer for selected customers, but its price differs between Jazz pages, so check it in SIMOSA. For large all-app data, the hybrid bundles above are the listed options.

Jazz call packages and shared bundles

We did not find a nationwide monthly call-only pack for a single number on Jazz’s prepaid list in October 2026. The closest listed options are these.

Package

Price (incl. tax)

What you get

Code

We5 GupShup

Rs 1,738

30 days: 10,000 Jazz minutes and SMS, 1,000 other-network minutes, shared by up to 5 numbers

*400#

We5 Super

Rs 2,869

30 days: 60 GB, 10,000 Jazz minutes and SMS, 1,000 other-network minutes, shared by up to 5 numbers

*400#

Voice Infinity Offer

Rs 217

90 days: 120 Jazz minutes, 50 other-network minutes

*710#

In a We5 bundle, one main number adds up to four others through *400# or SIMOSA. We5 is not offered to postpaid or AJK and Gilgit-Baltistan customers.

Jazz weekly package and shorter options

As of October 2026, these weekly and 3-day bundles have their own pages on jazz.com.pk.

Package

Price (incl. tax)

What you get

Code

Weekly X Plus

Rs 695

7 days: 100 GB, 2,000 Jazz minutes, 600 other-network minutes, 2,000 SMS

*852#

Weekly Freedom

Rs 652

7 days: 50 GB, 1,000 Jazz minutes and SMS, 300 other-network minutes

*737#

Weekly Super Max

Rs 608

7 days: 30 GB, 1,000 Jazz minutes, 150 other-network minutes, 1,000 SMS

*506#

Weekly Super Plus

Rs 521

7 days: 10 GB, 1,000 Jazz minutes, 120 other-network minutes

*505#

Super Woman Bundle

Rs 234

7 days: 12 GB, unlimited Jazz minutes from 8 am to 6 pm

*117*14#

Weekly WhatsApp Bundle

Rs 34

7 days: 1,500 SMS and 25 MB

*101*1*07#

3 Day Max Offer

Rs 103

3 days: 1 GB, 1,000 Jazz minutes, 10 other-network minutes, 1,000 Jazz SMS

*631#

We did not find a nationwide one-day bundle with its own page on Jazz’s list. For a single day, use Make Your Own Bundle: dial *303#, pick 1, 7 or 30 days and choose your minutes, MBs and SMS. Jazz shows the price before you confirm.

How to subscribe to a Jazz package

Through the SIMOSA app

Install SIMOSA from Google Play or the App Store and sign in with your Jazz number.

Check your balance at the top of the home screen.

Open the packages section and choose the bundle.

Read the price and validity, then confirm and wait for the SMS.

Through a USSD code or the website

Dial the bundle’s code from the tables above, for example *733#.

Follow the prompt and wait for the confirmation SMS.

Or open the bundle’s page on jazz.com.pk, press Subscribe Now and enter your Jazz number.

Through WhatsApp, the helpline or a retailer

Send “Hi” to Jazz WhatsApp on 0300-3008000 and pick a bundle from the menu.

Call 111; the prepaid menu includes bundle activation.

At a Jazz retailer, name the exact bundle and check the confirmation SMS before you pay.

Never share your OTP, PIN or SIMOSA password with a caller or a shopkeeper. Jazz does not need them to activate a bundle.

How to check balance, remaining MBs and minutes

Balance: dial *111# (Rs 0.24), or see it free in SIMOSA and on Jazz WhatsApp.

Active package: dial *444*6*2# (free) or look at the SIMOSA home screen.

Bundle status: several bundles have their own code, such as *506*2# for Weekly Super Max and *737*2# for Weekly Freedom.

Usage history: dial *7050# or open “View history” in SIMOSA.

Unsubscribing and auto-renewal

Jazz describes most bundles on this page, including Monthly Freedom, the single-app packs and most weekly bundles, as non-recursive. They do not renew by themselves; you dial the code again after expiry. A monthly bundle ends at midnight on the 30th day, counting the day you subscribed.

So there is usually nothing to cancel. Some bundle pages do list an unsubscribe code, such as *101*4*07# for the Weekly WhatsApp Bundle, and SIMOSA lets you deactivate bundles. If you buy a higher-priced monthly hybrid bundle before the old one ends, Jazz says the remaining resources carry over.

Problems and fixes

Package not activated: check your balance first. Remember the 15% deduction on recharge. Offers marked for selected customers, and many bundles in AJK and Gilgit-Baltistan, will not activate for everyone.

No confirmation SMS: dial *444*6*2# before trying again, because Jazz allows repeat subscriptions and charges each time.

Balance deducted during a bundle: once the data is used up, Jazz charges Rs 2.25 per MB until the bundle expires. With no bundle, data costs Rs 5 per MB.

Daily or weekly deductions: dial *6611# or open the Subscribed tab under Services in SIMOSA to see active services and their charges.

Still unresolved: in SIMOSA go to Support, then Submit a complaint. You receive a complaint ID by SMS. You can also call 111.

For other networks, see our all network packages page or browse Jazz packages and mobile packages. To pay for load from a wallet, read about JazzCash.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which Jazz monthly package has the most data?

Among the single-number bundles listed on jazz.com.pk in October 2026, Monthly X Plus has the most: 200 GB for Rs 2,695 including tax.

What is the Jazz balance check code?

Dial *111#. Jazz charges Rs 0.24 per check, while SIMOSA and Jazz WhatsApp show the balance for free.

Do Jazz monthly packages renew automatically?

Monthly Freedom and the single-app monthly packs are marked non-recursive, so you subscribe again after expiry. The Monthly X Plus page does not say either way, so check SIMOSA when it ends.

Why do I need more load than the package price?

Jazz states that 15% advance income tax is taken from each recharge. Load enough to leave the full bundle price in your balance.

Can I use a Jazz monthly package in AJK or Gilgit-Baltistan?

Monthly Freedom, the single-app monthly packs and We5 bundles are marked as not available there. Check SIMOSA for offers in your area.

Basic codes for Jazz, Zong, Ufone and Telenor, plus a short list of packages confirmed on the operators' own websites in October 2026 and how to subscribe safely.

All network packages in Pakistan work the same way: you pick a daily, weekly or monthly bundle from Jazz, Zong, Ufone or Telenor and activate it in the operator’s app or with a USSD code (a short dial code such as *111#). This page gives the basic codes for each network and a short list of packages confirmed on the operators’ own websites in October 2026.

Prices and volumes change often. The operator’s app or website always shows the final price including tax, so read it before you confirm.

Quick facts

Item

Details

Networks covered

Jazz, Zong, Ufone, Telenor

Official apps

SIMOSA (Jazz), My Zong App, UPTCL App (Ufone), My Telenor

Official websites

jazz.com.pk, zong.com.pk, ufone.com, telenor.com.pk

What you need

A prepaid SIM registered in your name and enough balance

Cost of checking

Free in SIMOSA, My Zong App and My Telenor; Jazz *111# costs Rs 0.24

Prices last checked

October 2026

Balance check code and SIM number check code for each network

The Jazz balance check code is *111# and the Zong balance check code is *222#. The tables below add the codes for your own number, remaining MBs and minutes, and the helpline.

Task

Jazz

Zong

Balance check

*111# (Rs 0.24)

*222#

Own number check

*99# (reported)

*8#

Remaining MBs and minutes

*444*6*2# (active package, free) or *7050# (usage)

*102# (10 paisa plus tax)

Package or self-service menu

*444#

*6464#

Helpline

111

310

Official app

SIMOSA

My Zong App

Task

Ufone

Telenor

Balance check

*124#

*444# (reported)

Own number check

*780*3# (reported)

Not confirmed; ask 345

Remaining MBs and minutes

*706#

*999# for MBs, *222# for minutes (reported)

Package menu

Not confirmed; use the app

Not confirmed; use the app

Helpline

333

345 (reported)

Official app

UPTCL App

My Telenor

“Reported” means the code is documented by ProPakistani and PhoneWorld but is not printed on the operator help pages we could open. Telenor’s website could not be opened when this page was prepared, so confirm Telenor codes in the My Telenor app.

Telenor Pakistan and Ufone were merged into one company in July 2026. In October 2026 both names are still used, and Ufone’s offers already count calls to Ufone, Telenor and PTCL numbers together.

How packages are grouped

By validity: daily (some run only a few hours), 3-day, weekly (7 days) and monthly (30 days).

Call packages: minutes for your own network (on-net) and a smaller number for other networks (off-net).

SMS packages: a fixed number of SMS, often sold with a little WhatsApp data.

All network internet packages: data for any app, sometimes limited to night or morning hours.

Social or WhatsApp package: data that works only in the named apps.

Hybrid (all-in-one): data, minutes and SMS in one price. Ufone calls these Super Cards.

Popular packages we could verify

Each package below was read on the operator’s own website. Many more exist, including city-only offers.

Jazz (as of October 2026)

Package

Price

What you get

Code

Monthly Freedom

Rs 2,608

30 days: 100 GB, 3,000 Jazz minutes and SMS, 750 other-network minutes

*733#

Monthly YouTube & Social

Rs 608

30 days: 10 GB for YouTube, Facebook and WhatsApp, 300 Jazz minutes, 50 other-network minutes, 300 SMS

*620#

Weekly Super Max

Rs 608

7 days: 30 GB, 1,000 Jazz minutes, 150 other-network minutes, 1,000 SMS

*506#

Weekly WhatsApp Bundle

Rs 34

7 days: 1,500 SMS and 25 MB

*101*1*07#

Jazz prices include sales tax. The full list is in our Jazz monthly package guide.

Zong (as of October 2026)

Package

Price

What you get

Code

Monthly Super Card

Rs 1,700

30 days: 10 GB, 300 other-network minutes, Zong minutes and SMS with a 5,000 fair-use cap

*5501#

Monthly Pro

Rs 2,300

Monthly: 50 GB, 10,000 Zong minutes, 600 other-network minutes, 10,000 SMS

*7088#

Weekly Pro

Rs 670

Weekly: 40 GB, 5,000 Zong minutes, 250 other-network minutes, 5,000 SMS

*7940#

Weekly Mega Data Offer

Rs 370

7 days: 100 GB, usable from 1 am to 9 am only

*808#

Maheena Bhar Mouj

Rs 750

Monthly: 3,000 all-network minutes, 3,000 SMS

*4144#

Zong shows a “Consumer Price” and says taxes and price may vary by location. More options are under Zong packages.

Ufone (as of October 2026)

Package

Price

What you get

Code

Super Card Max

Rs 1,900

30 days: 20 GB, 5,500 Ufone, Telenor and PTCL minutes, 350 other-network minutes, 5,500 SMS

*629#

Super Card Premium

Rs 2,100

30 days: 50 GB, 6,000 Ufone, Telenor and PTCL minutes, 700 other-network minutes, 6,000 SMS

*9111#

Weekly Power Prime

Rs 630

7 days: 50 GB, 5,000 on-net minutes, 500 other-network minutes, 5,000 SMS

*7777#

Social WhatsApp

Rs 350

30 days: 10 GB for WhatsApp

UPTCL App

Ufone raised several of these prices in early October 2026, so ignore older lists. See Ufone packages for more.

Telenor

We could not open telenor.com.pk, and the third-party Telenor lists we found were last updated in mid-2026. So no Telenor prices are listed here. Open the My Telenor app to see current offers; it also shows your balance and remaining MBs, minutes and SMS for free. Related guides are in our Telenor packages section.

How to subscribe safely

Check your balance with the code above or in the app.

Open the operator’s app, installed only from Google Play or the App Store, or dial the package’s own code.

Read the price, validity, time limits and how many minutes are for other networks.

Confirm once and wait for the confirmation SMS. On Ufone’s website you reply “Y” to that SMS to activate.

Dial the remaining-resources code to see that the MBs and minutes have arrived.

Never share your PIN, OTP or app password with anyone. Operators do not need them to activate a package.

How to unsubscribe from a package

Jazz: most bundles we checked are marked non-recursive, so they end on the last day and do not renew. A few list a code, such as *101*4*07# for the Weekly WhatsApp Bundle.

Zong: send “Unsub” plus the bundle keyword to 6464 (for example “Unsub mbm” for Maheena Bhar Mouj) or use *6464#. Zong’s pages say these bundles are not renewed automatically.

Ufone and Telenor: use the app or call 333 or 345. Ufone’s daily Unlimited WhatsApp Offer renews by itself; *6300# stops it.

Problems and fixes: avoiding balance deductions

Balance cut after data ran out: on Jazz, extra data inside a bundle costs Rs 2.25 per MB, and data with no bundle costs Rs 5 per MB. Turn mobile data off or buy a new bundle.

Recharge shows less than you paid: Jazz and Zong state that 15% advance income tax is taken from every recharge.

Small daily deductions: these usually come from extra services. On Jazz, dial *6611# to see active services and their charges for free. On other networks, check the app or call the helpline.

Package not activating: your balance may be short, or the offer may be limited to certain customers or regions. Many Jazz bundles are not sold in AJK and Gilgit-Baltistan.

Check the SIMs registered on your CNIC

Your CNIC is your 13-digit national identity card number. PTA’s SIM Information System at cnic.sims.pk shows the total number of SIMs registered against it: enter the CNIC, fill in the verify field and press Submit. If the total is higher than the SIMs you actually use, take your CNIC to the operator’s service centre and ask them to check. More help is in our PTA SIM guides.

Tips for choosing a package

Buy for what you use most. Heavy callers should look at other-network minutes first, not GBs.

Check time windows. A large night-only bundle is of little use during the day.

Remember that social data does not open other apps or websites.

Compare weekly and monthly prices; four weekly bundles cover 28 days, not 30.

Pick the network with the best signal at your home and workplace.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the Jazz balance check code?

Dial *111#; Jazz charges Rs 0.24 per check. The SIMOSA app and Jazz WhatsApp (0300-3008000) show your balance for free.

What is the Zong balance check code?

Dial *222# from your Zong SIM. The My Zong App shows balance and remaining free resources without a charge.

Which WhatsApp package is cheapest?

Among the packages we verified, Jazz’s Weekly WhatsApp Bundle costs Rs 34 but carries only 25 MB with 1,500 SMS. Ufone’s Social WhatsApp gives 10 GB for 30 days at Rs 350.

Do packages renew automatically?

Most of the Jazz and Zong bundles we checked do not. Some offers on other networks do, so read the offer page before you subscribe.

Are Telenor and Ufone one network now?

They became one company in July 2026, but both brands were still on sale in October 2026. Keep using your existing app and codes until your operator tells you otherwise.

How to create a JazzCash account on any network, set an MPIN, upgrade limits, send money, pay bills, check charges, understand the ReadyCash loan and contact the helpline.

JazzCash is a mobile wallet account, provided by Mobilink Microfinance Bank, that you open on any network with the JazzCash app, your CNIC and a fingerprint check. Jazz SIM users can also reach it by dialling *786#. Registration costs nothing, and this guide covers setup, the MPIN, limits, charges, the ReadyCash loan and the helpline.

Quick facts

Item

Details

Provided by

Mobilink Microfinance Bank Limited, under State Bank of Pakistan rules

Official website

jazzcash.com.pk

App

JazzCash, on Google Play and the App Store

USSD code

*786# from a Jazz SIM

JazzCash helpline number

4444 from Jazz; 111-124-444 with city code from other phones

WhatsApp

0325-4444-786

What you need

CNIC, an active mobile number and biometric verification

Registration fee

Rs 0 (as of October 2026)

How to create a JazzCash account in the app

The app works for Jazz, Zong, Telenor and Ufone numbers alike. Keep your CNIC (national identity card issued by NADRA) in hand.

Install the JazzCash app from the official store.

Enter an active mobile number that is in the same phone.

Type the one-time password (OTP) sent to that number.

Add the personal information the app asks for.

Create your 4-digit MPIN, the secret code that approves every payment.

Complete the biometric verification (BVS), which checks your fingerprints with NADRA.

The account is created once NADRA verification succeeds, but JazzCash blocks transactions for the first 2 hours. Only one account is allowed per CNIC and mobile number.

How to register with *786# on a Jazz SIM

JazzCash’s terms name USSD as the second way to create an account. It needs no smartphone.

Dial *786# from your Jazz SIM.

Follow the registration prompts and enter the CNIC details requested.

Set your 4-digit MPIN when asked.

On another network, use the app instead.

JazzCash account levels and limits

Your level decides how much you can move. JazzCash publishes these limits in its terms (as of October 2026):

Level

Daily debit

Monthly debit

Maximum balance

Level 0

Rs 25,000

Rs 50,000

Rs 200,000

Level 1

Rs 100,000

Rs 300,000

Rs 1,000,000

Asaan Digital Account

Rs 1,000,000

Rs 1,000,000

Rs 3,000,000

Digital Account (Level 2)

Rs 1,000,000

Rs 3,500,000

Rs 5,000,000

Upgrades are done in the app, so use one if you hit a limit. An Asaan Digital Account upgrade is usually instant; a Digital Account needs proof of income and can take up to 2 working days. The schedule of charges lists both at Rs 0.

How to send money from JazzCash

Open Money Transfer in the app.

Pick the route: JazzCash to JazzCash, Bank Transfer (IBFT), CNIC Transfer (for people without an account), Other Wallets or RAAST Transfer.

Enter the receiver’s JazzCash number, bank account, CNIC, or Raast ID or mobile number.

Enter the amount and review the receiver’s name and the charges.

Confirm with your MPIN.

JazzCash says a failed transfer returns to your wallet automatically; if it is not back within 24 hours, call the helpline.

How to pay a bill

Tap Bill Payments on the app home screen.

Choose the bill category, then the company.

Enter the reference number printed on your bill.

Check the details and confirm with your MPIN.

To see the amount first, use our online bill check guide.

JazzCash charges

These figures come from the latest schedule of charges on the JazzCash website as of October 2026, issued for July to September 2026. Fees exclude tax unless stated.

Service

Charge

JazzCash to JazzCash transfer

Free

Transfer to a bank account

No transfer fee up to Rs 25,000 in total per month; after that 0.1% or Rs 200, whichever is lower. A processing fee from Rs 1.55 is also listed

Cash withdrawal at an agent

By slab, from Rs 7 (up to Rs 200) to Rs 690 (Rs 40,001 to 50,000), tax included; for example Rs 180 for Rs 8,001 to 10,000

ATM withdrawal

Rs 35, tax included

Utility bill from wallet

Rs 5 each for the first three bills in a month, Rs 20 for the 4th to 9th, Rs 30 from the 10th

Inactive account

Rs 100 a month after 12 months with no activity

The schedule also lists a cash-in fee of 0.50% of the amount, so ask the agent what applies before you deposit. A new schedule is issued each quarter on the official page.

Cash deposit and withdrawal

Find a shop with the agent locator on the JazzCash website, give your number and wait for the SMS. A State Bank of Pakistan instruction requires agents to verify the account holder biometrically for these transactions, so go in person.

JazzCash loan (ReadyCash): how it works

ReadyCash is a short-term loan paid into the wallet of selected users, based on a credit score. This describes the product and its cost; it is not advice to borrow.

Open the app and select ReadyCash Loan.

Check your eligible limit and enter an amount.

Review the details before you accept.

Amount: the product page gives a range of Rs 100 to Rs 50,000. Your own limit is shown in the app.

Cost: 5% of the amount per week for up to 8 weeks, a maximum of 40% per loan (as of October 2026). JazzCash’s example: Rs 100 becomes Rs 120 due after four weeks and Rs 140 after eight.

Time: the standard due date is 28 days and the maximum is 56 days. Repaying early lowers the fee.

If you do not repay: JazzCash may deduct money from your account after 28 days and may report you as a defaulter to the State Bank’s credit bureau (eCIB).

You can repay in part or in full through the app, USSD or a JazzCash retailer.

JazzCash debit card

Order from the Debit Card section of the app: choose a card, confirm, complete biometric verification and enter your MPIN. Delivery is quoted at 15 working days.

As of October 2026 the schedule lists a PayPak card at Rs 999 to issue and Rs 299 a year, a physical Mastercard at Rs 999 and Rs 99 a year, and a virtual Mastercard at Rs 300 with no annual fee. To block a lost card, dial *786*6*4*3# from a Jazz SIM, use the app or call the helpline.

JazzCash helpline number and blocking your account

Call 4444 from a Jazz number at any hour. From other phones, dial 111-124-444 with a city code, for example 051-111-124-444.

If your phone or SIM is lost, ask your mobile operator to block the SIM, then tell JazzCash customer service straight away so access to the account is blocked. Use 111-124-444, since 4444 only works from a Jazz SIM.

JazzCash states that it will never ask for your PIN, OTP or password. Never share them on a call or message, and report suspicious callers to the helpline.

Problems and fixes

Forgot MPIN: try the forgot MPIN option in the app. If that fails, call the helpline from your registered number.

Payment refused: a new account cannot transact for 2 hours, and an old one may have reached its limit.

Money sent to the wrong person: the terms say a completed transfer cannot be reversed and your claim is against the receiver. Call the helpline immediately with the transaction ID.

Account dormant: after 12 months without activity, call the contact centre from your registered number to reactivate it.

Complaint not resolved: the contact page lists the State Bank’s Sunwai portal as the next step.

How to open and verify an Easypaisa account on any network, send money, pay bills, use agents, check limits and charges, understand the Easycash loan and reach the helpline.

Easypaisa is a mobile wallet and digital bank account that you can open free on any Pakistani network with your CNIC. The quickest way is the official easypaisa app; Telenor users can also dial *786#, and the company lists *2262# for Jazz, Zong and Ufone numbers. This guide explains how to open and verify an Easypaisa account, use it day to day, check limits and charges, and reach the helpline.

Quick facts

Item

Details

Run by

Easypaisa Bank Limited, a digital retail bank licensed by the State Bank of Pakistan

Official website

easypaisa.com.pk

App

easypaisa, on Google Play, the App Store and Huawei AppGallery

USSD codes

*786# on Telenor; *2262# on Jazz, Zong and Ufone

Easypaisa helpline number

3737 from Telenor; 042-111-003-737 from other networks

What you need

Valid CNIC with its date of issue, and an active mobile number

Cost to open

Free

How to open an Easypaisa account in the app

Keep your CNIC (computerised national identity card) with you. An expired card is not accepted, so renew it first through NADRA.

Install the easypaisa app from your phone’s official store. The developer name should be Easypaisa Bank Limited.

Enter your mobile number. It must be active because a one-time password (OTP) is sent to it.

Enter your 13-digit CNIC number and the date of issue printed on the card.

Let the app read the OTP automatically, then accept the terms and conditions.

Create a 5-digit PIN. It cannot be a simple sequence and cannot repeat one digit more than three times.

Only one account is allowed per mobile number and per CNIC. The account name is taken from your CNIC and cannot be changed.

How to open an Easypaisa account by USSD

USSD menus work without internet or a smartphone.

Dial *786# from a Telenor SIM. Easypaisa’s FAQ gives *2262# for Jazz, Zong and Ufone SIMs.

Enter your CNIC number and its date of issue.

Create a 5-digit PIN.

Enter the PIN again to confirm.

If the code does not respond, use the app or call the helpline.

How to verify and upgrade your account

A new account has low limits. Under State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) rules, a higher level needs biometric verification, a fingerprint check against NADRA records.

Open the app and tap your profile picture.

Tap Account Level, then Upgrade your Account.

Scan your left hand and right hand when the app asks.

Fill in the details requested and tap Upgrade.

How to send money

Log in and choose the transfer type on the home screen: easypaisa (to another Easypaisa account), Bank Transfer, Raast or CNIC Transfer.

Enter the receiver’s mobile account number, bank account number, Raast ID or CNIC, as the screen asks.

For bank and Raast transfers, select the purpose of payment.

Enter the amount, read the name and any fee shown, then tap Transfer or Send now.

A Raast ID is a mobile number linked to an account in the SBP’s instant payment system.

How to pay bills

Log in and tap Bill Payments.

Select the bill type and choose the company from the list.

Enter the consumer or reference number printed on your bill.

Check the amount and due date, then confirm.

To see the amount before you pay, use our online bill check guide.

Cash deposit and withdrawal at agents

To deposit, give an Easypaisa agent your account number and the cash. Find shops through Store Locator in the app menu. You can also add money by transfer from a bank account.

To withdraw, visit an Easypaisa shop, use the debit card at a 1LINK or M-Net ATM, or move the money to a bank account. Under an SBP instruction, agents verify the account holder biometrically for cash deposits and withdrawals, so go yourself and wait for the confirmation SMS.

Easypaisa charges and account limit

Opening an account is free. Other fees are revised often, so check them at the source instead of trusting a figure quoted elsewhere.

Easypaisa charges: the official Schedule of Charges page has the branchless banking schedule in English and Urdu. Easypaisa says charges are revised every three months.

Easypaisa account limit: daily, monthly and yearly sending and receiving limits depend on your account level. See yours under profile picture, then Account Level.

After upgrading: the website says limits can rise to as much as Rs 10 lakh (as of October 2026).

Easypaisa loan (Easycash): how it works and what it costs

Easycash is a small short-term loan paid into your account without documents or security. This section describes the product only; it is not advice to borrow.

Tap Easycash in the app, or dial *786*7# and press 1.

Select an amount from the offer shown to you.

Read the fee and due date, then enter your PIN to accept the terms.

To repay, open Easycash and choose full or partial payment, or dial *786*7# and press 2.

The app’s Google Play listing, updated in September 2026, gives a range of Rs 200 to Rs 25,000, a tenor of no less than 60 days and a maximum annual rate of 32% to 40%. Its example shows Rs 20,000 borrowed, a service fee of Rs 6,400 and Rs 26,400 repaid. Parts of the website still mention up to Rs 10,000, so treat the offer and cost shown in your own app as the real ones.

Easypaisa debit card

Order a card from My Account in the app. PayPak is the default card, and Visa and UnionPay cards are also listed. A one-time fee is deducted when you order.

To set the card PIN, open Manage Card, enter the card’s last four digits and choose a PIN. Easypaisa says the card works in Pakistan only and that only the Visa card works for online payments. Block a lost card in the app or through the helpline.

Easypaisa helpline number and lost phone

Call 3737 from a Telenor number or 042-111-003-737 from any other number. The FAQ also links a WhatsApp chat on 0341-1103737.

If your phone is lost or stolen, call 042-111-003-737 from another phone and ask for the account to be blocked, then ask your mobile operator to block the SIM. The app asks for your PIN at every login, so keep the PIN secret.

Never share your PIN or OTP. Easypaisa staff do not need them, so anyone who asks for them on a call, SMS or WhatsApp is a fraudster.

Problems and fixes

Forgot PIN: enter your mobile number in the app, tap Forgot PIN, then enter your CNIC and a new PIN twice.

Account blocked after wrong PIN attempts: the FAQ says to dial *786*8*1# from your registered number, enter your CNIC and set a new 5-digit PIN.

OTP not arriving: you can request an OTP up to three times a day. After that, call the helpline.

Money sent to the wrong person: a CNIC transfer can be reversed in the app. For a transfer to another account or bank, call the helpline at once with the transaction ID.

Limit exceeded: upgrade your account level in the app.

Need a statement: tap your profile picture, then Transaction History, for the last 30 days.

A neutral comparison of Easypaisa and JazzCash: who runs them, account levels, USSD codes, helplines, cards, loans, other wallets and how to choose the one that fits your needs.

Easypaisa vs JazzCash is mostly a question of which SIM you use, which agent shop is near you and which features you need. Both are mobile wallet accounts regulated by the State Bank of Pakistan, and both open free on any network with your CNIC. The fastest way to start is the official app; Telenor users can also dial *786# for Easypaisa, and Jazz users can dial *786# for JazzCash.

Quick facts

Item

Details

Regulator

State Bank of Pakistan (SBP)

Easypaisa is run by

Easypaisa Bank Limited, a digital retail bank

JazzCash is run with

Mobilink Microfinance Bank Limited

Official websites

easypaisa.com.pk and jazzcash.com.pk

What you need

A valid CNIC and an active mobile number

Cost to open

Free on both (as of October 2026)

What a mobile wallet is in Pakistan

A mobile wallet is a bank account that runs on your phone number instead of a branch. The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) calls this branchless banking: you open the account remotely and put in or take out cash at agent shops.

You sign up with your CNIC (the 13-digit number on your national identity card) and protect the account with a PIN. Your balance is held by a licensed bank, not by the shopkeeper or the mobile company.

Who runs Easypaisa and JazzCash

Easypaisa is now a bank in its own right. In January 2025 the SBP announced that Easypaisa Bank Limited, formerly Telenor Microfinance Bank Limited, had received Pakistan’s first digital retail bank licence.

JazzCash is a branchless banking service. Its account terms and schedule of charges are issued by Mobilink Microfinance Bank Limited, the bank behind the brand. The service started in 2012 as MobiCash and became JazzCash in 2016.

Account levels and what they allow

SBP’s Branchless Banking Regulations describe simplified account levels. Level 0 is a basic account opened after your CNIC is checked with NADRA (the national identity database), and it has low limits. Level 1 needs biometric verification, which is a fingerprint check against NADRA, and allows more.

JazzCash publishes these limits in its account terms (as of October 2026):

Level

Daily

Monthly

Maximum balance

Level 0

Rs 25,000

Rs 50,000

Rs 200,000

Level 1

Rs 100,000

Rs 300,000

Rs 1,000,000

Easypaisa shows your own level and limits in the app: tap your profile picture, then Account Level. Its website says an upgrade can raise limits to as much as Rs 10 lakh (as of October 2026). JazzCash also lists higher account types, such as the Asaan Digital Account, for people who need more room.

How to open an Easypaisa account

Install the easypaisa app and check that the developer is Easypaisa Bank Limited.

Enter your mobile number, then your CNIC number and its date of issue.

Let the app read the OTP (one-time password) sent by SMS and accept the terms.

Create your 5-digit PIN.

Our Easypaisa account guide covers the USSD route, upgrades and the helpline.

How to open a JazzCash account

Install the JazzCash app and enter an active mobile number that is in your phone.

Enter the OTP and your personal details.

Create your 4-digit MPIN.

Complete the biometric verification. JazzCash says you cannot make transactions for the first 2 hours.

See the JazzCash account guide for charges, cards and common problems.

Other digital wallets in Pakistan

SadaPay and NayaPay: these are electronic money institutions, meaning non-bank companies licensed by the SBP. The SBP’s list, updated in November 2025, shows both licensed for commercial operations with consumer wallets.

UPaisa: the branchless banking service of U Microfinance Bank, a PTCL subsidiary, offered together with Ufone.

Raast: not a wallet. It is the SBP’s own instant payment system, which links your account to your mobile number as a Raast ID. The SBP says there are no charges on Raast services, and both Easypaisa and JazzCash have a Raast option.

How to choose the best mobile wallet in Pakistan for your needs

Neither service is better for everyone. Match the wallet to how you will use it.

Your SIM: a Telenor SIM gives you Easypaisa on *786# and the 3737 short code. A Jazz SIM gives you JazzCash on *786# and 4444. On other networks you mainly use the app.

No smartphone: the USSD menu matters most, so the wallet that matches your SIM is usually simpler.

Cash in and out: check which agent shops are close to your home or work. Easypaisa has a Store Locator in its app and JazzCash has an agent locator on its website.

Cards: Easypaisa says its debit card works only inside Pakistan. JazzCash offers Mastercard cards, including a virtual one. Check each card’s fee first.

Who you pay: pick the wallet your family, employer or customers already use, although Raast can move money between the two.

Charges: each company posts a schedule of charges on its website. Compare the services you use most, such as cash withdrawal or bank transfers.

You can hold one account with each service, because the one-account rule applies per provider. More guides are on our mobile wallets page.

Problems and fixes

Forgot your PIN or MPIN: Easypaisa has a Forgot PIN option in its app. For a JazzCash MPIN, call the helpline from your registered number if you cannot reset it in the app.

Money sent to the wrong number: call the helpline at once with the transaction ID. JazzCash’s terms say a completed transfer cannot be reversed and your claim is against the receiver, so speed matters. Easypaisa lets you reverse a CNIC transfer in the app.

Limit exceeded: your account level is too low for the amount. Upgrade it in the app.

Phone lost: ask your mobile operator to block the SIM and call the wallet helpline from another phone to block the account.

Complaint not solved: JazzCash’s contact page points to the SBP’s Sunwai complaint portal as the next step.

Safety tips for any mobile wallet

Never share your PIN, MPIN or OTP with anyone. Easypaisa and JazzCash do not ask for them on calls, SMS or WhatsApp, and JazzCash states this on its contact page.

Download apps only from the official stores, check the fee on the review screen before you confirm, and count your cash and read the SMS before leaving an agent shop. If you pay utility bills from your wallet, confirm the amount first with our online bill check guide.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which is better, Easypaisa or JazzCash?

Neither wins on every point. Easypaisa tends to suit Telenor users and JazzCash suits Jazz users, and after that it depends on nearby agents, cards and the fees for the services you use.

Can I use Easypaisa on a Jazz SIM, or JazzCash on a Telenor SIM?

Yes. Both companies say an account can be opened on any mobile network, and the app is the main route when your SIM belongs to another operator.

Can I send money from Easypaisa to JazzCash?

Yes. Use the Raast or other-wallet transfer option in the sending app and check any fee shown before you confirm.

Is my money safe in a mobile wallet?

Both services are regulated by the State Bank of Pakistan. Most losses happen when a customer shares a PIN or OTP with a fraudster, so keep those private.

Do I need a biometric check?

Under SBP rules a basic account has low limits, and a fingerprint check with NADRA is needed for a higher level. Agents also verify account holders biometrically for cash deposits and withdrawals.
