How to do a FESCO bill check online

PITC (Power Information Technology Company) runs FESCO’s billing system, so the bill page sits on the PITC website.

  1. Open bill.pitc.com.pk/fescobill in your phone browser.
  2. Leave “Reference No” selected. Pick “Customer ID” only if that is the number you have.
  3. Type the digits with no spaces or dashes. Skip any letter, such as U or R, printed after the number.
  4. Complete the captcha check if the page shows one, then tap Search.
  5. Your latest FESCO bill opens with the units, amount and due date.

The page does not search by name, CNIC (national identity card number), meter number or address.

How to download the FESCO duplicate bill

  1. Open your bill with the steps above.
  2. Use the print option on the bill page, or Print in your browser menu.
  3. Choose “Save as PDF” to keep a copy on your phone, or print it on plain paper.

The copy carries the same reference number, amount and due date as the posted bill. If you cannot get online, ask at a FESCO customer service centre. They work at circle, division and sub-division offices.

Where the reference number is printed

The reference number is a 14-digit number that identifies your electricity connection. On a FESCO bill it sits in the consumer details box near the top left, labelled “Reference No”, and it is repeated on the payment slip at the bottom.

The Customer ID is a separate, shorter number (usually 10 digits) printed in the same area.

No bill at all? Take your CNIC and the number written on your meter to your FESCO sub-division office and ask for the reference number.

How to read your FESCO bill

  • Consumer details: name, address, tariff (A-1 is the home category), sanctioned load and meter number.
  • Dates: bill month, reading date, issue date and due date.
  • Readings: previous and present meter readings. The difference is the units you are charged for. The meter photo is printed too, so compare it with your own meter.
  • FESCO charges: cost of electricity, any fixed charges, the monthly fuel price adjustment and the quarterly tariff adjustment.
  • Government charges: taxes and duties, such as general sales tax and electricity duty, shown as separate lines.
  • Totals: current bill, arrears, the amount payable within the due date and a higher amount payable after it.
  • History: units, bills and payments of previous months.

Home units are charged in slabs. FESCO’s schedule has “protected” consumers, who are low-use homes with slabs only up to 200 units, and “unprotected” consumers, whose slabs run from 1-100 units to above 700 units. Only protected homes get the benefit of one cheaper previous slab, so a few extra units can change the bill a lot.

Rates change through the year. FESCO publishes its schedule on its tariff page, and NEPRA’s FESCO page lists the newest notifications.

FESCO bill calculator

Use this calculator to estimate your units and cost from meter readings or appliance use before the bill arrives.

Electricity bill estimator

Units not known yet? Add each appliance you run:

Estimate only. It uses the base residential tariff notified in February 2026 (S.R.O. 279(I)/2026) and 18% sales tax. Fuel price adjustment, quarterly adjustment, surcharges, electricity duty and income tax change from month to month and are not included, so your real bill will be different. Always go by the bill issued by your company.

The result is an estimate. Fuel adjustments and taxes change monthly, so your real bill can differ.

FESCO helpline, apps and complaint channels

  • 118: the free national electricity helpline. It works in seven languages and calls you back automatically to confirm the fault was fixed.
  • SMS and toll-free: FESCO also lists SMS to 8118 and the toll-free number 0800-66554.
  • Online: the PITC portal at ccms.pitc.com.pk registers a complaint by reference number or mobile number and lets you track it.
  • FESCO Smart app: shows monthly bills with paid or unpaid status and takes requests such as a due date extension or a meter reading correction.
  • Power Smart app: since 1 April 2026 FESCO takes new connection applications here. It also has instalment and due date requests and a bill estimator.

We could not find an official FESCO WhatsApp bill service as of October 2026.

Wrong, late or missing bill: what to do

  • Bill will not open: re-type the 14 digits and check the selected option. A new month’s bill may not be uploaded yet, so try later.
  • Wrong reading or too many units: FESCO’s FAQ says to report it to your sub-division or revenue office. Take the bill, your CNIC and a dated photo of the meter. The Customer Services menu on fesco.com.pk also lists a “Customer Bill Correction” application.
  • Preventing it: upload your own meter photo in Power Smart (“Apna Meter, Apni Reading”) on the reading date. FESCO says that reading takes priority for the month.
  • Cannot pay on time: ask for a due date extension or instalments in the apps or at the sub-division before the due date. Approval rests with FESCO. After the due date a late payment surcharge is added.
  • Paid but shown as arrears: show the paid receipt at the sub-division or revenue office.
  • Bill not delivered: download the duplicate, then tell the sub-division office.
  • No result from FESCO: file a complaint with the regulator on NEPRA’s complaint page. NEPRA has a regional office in Faisalabad.
