You can check your TESCO bill online on the official PITC page, bill.pitc.com.pk/tescobill. Enter the 14-digit reference number or the Customer ID printed on an old bill, press Search, and the latest bill appears. From there you can print it or save a duplicate copy as a PDF without paying anything.

TESCO was set up in August 2004 to run the power network of the former tribal agencies and Frontier Regions, which merged into Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in 2018. Its own company profile says it is the only power company serving this area and that it works through one operation circle and five operation divisions. The divisions and their main sub-divisions, as listed in the TESCO telephone directory, are:

TESCO bill check online: step by step

  1. Open bill.pitc.com.pk/tescobill. This is the same page the Duplicate Bill link on tesco.gov.pk opens. PITC, the Power Information Technology Company, runs the billing system for government power companies.
  2. Choose Reference No or Customer ID.
  3. Enter the number without spaces. For a reference number, set the U or R box to the letter printed after the number on your bill.
  4. Press Search to open the bill with your name, address, bill month, units, due date and amount.
  5. Check the month shown. If the new bill is not out yet, the page shows the previous one, so try again later.

If mobile internet is weak in your area, try again later, or ask a relative in another city to open the bill for you. They only need your reference number, as the page has no login.

Where to find your reference number

The reference number sits in the top part of your TESCO bill. It is 14 digits long, printed in groups, and ends with a letter. Enter only the digits and select the letter from the drop-down list on the bill page.

The Customer ID is another number on the same bill that opens the same record. Neither number changes from month to month. If you have lost your bills, an old payment receipt usually shows the reference number, or your TESCO sub-division office can usually help you find it.

How to get a TESCO duplicate bill

  1. Open the bill with the steps above.
  2. Use the print option on the bill or in your browser menu.
  3. Choose Save as PDF to keep the bill on your phone, or print it.
  4. Make sure the reference number, barcode and amount are readable before you pay at a bank.

The duplicate copy shows the same figures as the paper bill, so it helps when delivery is late or the original is damaged. If paper bills stop reaching you, report it through the complaint channels below.

How to pay a TESCO bill

  • Bank branch: pay at the counter of a bank that collects electricity bills, using the paper or printed bill.
  • Mobile banking: go to Bill Payment, then Electricity, and look for TESCO in the company list. Enter the reference number.
  • Easypaisa or JazzCash: open Bill Payment and Electricity, then check whether TESCO is listed before you enter the reference number.

TESCO is a smaller company, so it may not appear in every app. If you cannot find it, pay at a bank branch. Always check that the name and amount on the payment screen match your bill and keep the receipt. Our Easypaisa vs JazzCash page compares the two wallets.

TESCO complaint number and contacts

  • 118: the PITC contact centre for power complaints, including faults and billing.
  • 8118: SMS number for complaints on the same system.
  • Online: the Register CCMS Complaint link on tesco.gov.pk opens the Customer Complaint Management System at ccms.pitc.com.pk.
  • TESCO head office: 091-9212964, WAPDA House, Shami Road, Peshawar. Email: [email protected].
  • Citizen Portal: the TESCO website also links to the Prime Minister’s Citizen Portal for complaints.

For billing corrections, visit your sub-division office with your bill and CNIC. Keep any complaint number you receive so you can follow up.

Power Smart app for TESCO consumers

The TESCO homepage links to Power Smart, the government app made by PITC for electricity consumers. It was launched in 2025 under the Apna Meter, Apni Reading idea, so you can send a photo of your own meter reading. It is useful if you think your reading has been entered wrongly.

New connection and other TESCO services

  • New connection: the New Connection link on tesco.gov.pk sends you to the Electricity New Connection (ENC) system at enc.com.pk, where you apply online and track the application.
  • Name change, load extension or meter shifting: ask at your sub-division office, and take your latest bill and CNIC with you.
  • Forms and reports: the Downloads section of the TESCO website has the company forms and published reports.

TESCO bill calculator

Use the calculator below to estimate your units and bill from meter readings or the appliances you use.

Electricity bill estimator

Units not known yet? Add each appliance you run:

Estimate only. It uses the base residential tariff notified in February 2026 (S.R.O. 279(I)/2026) and 18% sales tax. Fuel price adjustment, quarterly adjustment, surcharges, electricity duty and income tax change from month to month and are not included, so your real bill will be different. Always go by the bill issued by your company.

It gives an estimate only. Fuel adjustments, taxes and other charges change each month, and the bill on the PITC page is the amount you owe. Our online bill check guide explains how slab rates work.

Common problems and fixes

  • No record found: remove spaces, leave out the letter and check the U or R setting. If your bill says PESCO, use the PESCO page instead.
  • Previous month still showing: the new bill has not been uploaded. Search again after a few days.
  • Reading does not match the meter: take a dated photo of the meter and visit your sub-division office, or send the reading through Power Smart.
  • Payment not shown: allow a few working days. If it is still missing on the next bill, complain on 118 with the receipt.
