Online Bill Check: WAPDA Electricity Bill for Any Company
You can do an online bill check for any electricity company in Pakistan in a few steps: open your company’s page on the official PITC bill website (for example bill.pitc.com.pk/lescobill), type the 14-digit reference number from an old bill, and the latest bill opens free of charge. Karachi consumers use K-Electric’s own website with their 13-digit account number. The table below gives the official link for every company.

Which company sends your bijli ka bill?
People still say “WAPDA bill”, but WAPDA no longer bills homes. Your bijli ka bill comes from one of eleven government-owned distribution companies (DISCOs) or, in Karachi, from K-Electric.
The company name is printed at the top of every bill. If you have no bill at hand, find your area below.
| Company | Area served | Official bill page |
|---|---|---|
| LESCO | Lahore, Kasur, Okara, Sheikhupura, Nankana Sahib | bill.pitc.com.pk/lescobill |
| MEPCO | 13 districts of South Punjab, including Multan, Bahawalpur, Dera Ghazi Khan and Sahiwal | bill.pitc.com.pk/mepcobill |
| FESCO | Faisalabad, Sargodha, Jhang, Mianwali, Khushab, Bhakkar, Toba Tek Singh, Chiniot | bill.pitc.com.pk/fescobill |
| GEPCO | Gujranwala, Sialkot, Gujrat, Narowal, Hafizabad, Mandi Bahauddin, Wazirabad | bill.pitc.com.pk/gepcobill |
| IESCO | Islamabad, Rawalpindi and the belt from Attock to Jhelum | bill.pitc.com.pk/iescobill |
| PESCO | Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, except Hazara and the merged tribal districts | bill.pitc.com.pk/pescobill |
| HAZECO | Hazara region of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa | bill.pitc.com.pk/hazecobill |
| TESCO | Merged tribal districts (former FATA) | bill.pitc.com.pk/tescobill |
| HESCO | Hyderabad and the southern districts of Sindh, outside Karachi | bill.pitc.com.pk/hescobill |
| SEPCO | Sukkur region of Sindh | bill.pitc.com.pk/sepcobill |
| QESCO | Balochistan, except the Lasbela area served by K-Electric | bill.pitc.com.pk/qescobill |

HAZECO separated from PESCO and started working on its own on 1 July 2025, so Hazara consumers now use the HAZECO page. Azad Kashmir bills have their own page at bill.pitc.com.pk/ajkbill.
We have separate guides for the LESCO bill, MEPCO bill, FESCO bill, GEPCO bill and the K-Electric duplicate bill. The rest are listed under electricity bills.
Reference number and Customer ID: where to find them
The reference number is the 14-digit number that identifies your connection. It is printed in the top section of the bill beside the words “Reference No”, and it stays the same every month.
It is written in groups, for example 12 34567 8901234 U. The groups are the batch number, the sub-division code and your consumer number, followed by a letter. Type only the 14 digits, without the spaces or the letter.
The Customer ID is a second, shorter number printed in the same top section. You can search with it in place of the reference number. Its length differs by company; LESCO uses 7 digits.
No old bill? Look at a past payment receipt or the bill history in your banking app. If that fails, ask at your sub-division office or the company’s customer services centre.
How to do a WAPDA bill online check
- Open your company’s link from the table above. Check that the address begins with bill.pitc.com.pk.
- Choose whether you are searching by reference number or Customer ID.
- Type the number in digits only and press the search button.
- Your current bill opens. Check the name, address, bill month, due date and payable amount.
- Use the print option, or your browser’s “Save as PDF”, to keep a copy.
That copy is your duplicate bill. The Power Division’s own FAQ tells consumers whose paper bill was not delivered to take the bill from their company’s online page. This electricity bill check online works the same way for every DISCO.
Bill check online for Karachi (K-Electric)
Open K-Electric’s Digital Bills and Payments page and use the duplicate bill option. Keep your 13-digit account number ready. K-Electric also lists the KE Live app, SMS 8119 and WhatsApp 0348-0000118.
Other official ways: apps, SMS and helpline 118
- Power Smart app: published by PITC and launched by the Power Division in June 2025 under “Apna Meter, Apni Reading”. You add your connection, see your consumption, send a photo of your own meter reading on the given date, and request a due date extension or instalments.
- Company apps: for example LESCO Light, LESCO Smart, MEPCO SMART and IESCO Smart. Install from the link on your company’s website, or check that the publisher is PITC.
- Helpline 118: the contact centre for supply and billing complaints. K-Electric uses 118 as well.
- SMS 8118: the complaint SMS number shown on the official complaint system. We found no official SMS code that sends a DISCO bill to your phone.
- Online complaint: the Customer Complaint Management System at ccms.pitc.com.pk.
An official online bill check is always free. No official page or helpline needs your bank PIN, OTP or wallet password.
How to read your electricity bill
- Units: present meter reading minus previous reading. One unit is one kilowatt-hour.
- Protected or unprotected: a home that stays at 200 units or less for six months in a row is “protected” and pays lower rates. One month above 200 units moves you to unprotected rates. “Lifeline” covers very small users of up to 100 units.
- Slabs: the more units you use, the higher the rate. For unprotected homes the slab your monthly total falls in sets the rate for all units that month. Protected homes get the benefit of one previous slab.
- Fixed charges: since February 2026, Rs 200 to Rs 675 per kW of your sanctioned load each month, depending on the slab. Lifeline homes are exempt.
- FPA (fuel price adjustment): the difference between actual and assumed fuel cost for an earlier month. NEPRA sets it monthly, and it can be a charge or a credit. A separate quarterly adjustment is added or deducted every three months.
- Taxes (as of October 2026): 18% GST, provincial electricity duty of 1% to 1.5% of variable charges, a per-unit financing surcharge, and income tax only on large bills (Rs 25,000 or more) of people not on the active taxpayer list.
Domestic slab rates as of October 2026
These base rates are from S.R.O. 279(I)/2026 as shown in IESCO’s official tariff guide. The same uniform tariff applies to all DISCOs and K-Electric. The next yearly revision is due in January 2027.
| Category | Monthly units | Rs per unit |

| Unprotected | 201 to 300 | 33.10 |

| Unprotected | 501 to 600 | 40.22 |
| Unprotected | 601 to 700 | 41.85 |
| Unprotected | Above 700 | 47.20 |
Electricity bill calculator: estimate your units and cost
Enter your meter readings or the appliances you run to estimate this month’s units and cost.
Electricity bill estimator
Units not known yet? Add each appliance you run:
Estimate only. It uses the base residential tariff notified in February 2026 (S.R.O. 279(I)/2026) and 18% sales tax. Fuel price adjustment, quarterly adjustment, surcharges, electricity duty and income tax change from month to month and are not included, so your real bill will be different. Always go by the bill issued by your company.
Treat the result as an estimate. FPA, quarterly adjustments and taxes change from month to month, so the printed bill can differ.
How to pay your electricity bill online
- Bank apps and internet banking: open bill payment, choose electricity, pick your company and enter the 14-digit reference number. K-Electric also lists 1LINK’s 1BILL among its channels.
- Easypaisa: open Bill Payments, select the company and enter the number. Easypaisa says this is free for customers.
- JazzCash: tap Bill Payments, choose electricity and the biller, enter the reference number and confirm with your MPIN. JazzCash says its standard service charges apply, so read the confirmation screen.
Check the consumer name and amount before you confirm, and save the receipt. Pay by the due date, because the bill shows a higher amount after it.
Bill looks wrong? Problems and fixes
- “No record found”: you may be on another company’s page, or you typed the spaces or the last letter.
- Reading does not match your meter: compare the present reading on the bill with the meter. Take the bill to your sub-division office or customer services centre, which can correct a wrong bill, or call 118.
- Faulty meter: the Power Division says companies then bill on an estimate, using the average of the last eleven months or the same month last year, whichever is higher. Ask the sub-division to replace the meter.
- Detection bill: an extra assessment for units the company says were under-billed. You may dispute it.
- No answer from the company: register a complaint with the regulator on the NEPRA complaint form. NEPRA asks you to go to the SDO or XEN first.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I check my electricity bill online by CNIC or name?
No. The official PITC pages search by reference number or Customer ID only, so keep one old bill or payment receipt.
Is the online bill check and duplicate bill free?
Yes. Viewing and printing the bill on the official pages costs nothing.
Is a WAPDA bill different from a LESCO or MEPCO bill?
No. “WAPDA bill” is the old name people use. The bill is issued by your area’s distribution company.
What number do I need for a K-Electric bill?
The 13-digit account number printed on your K-Electric bill.
Why did my bill jump after I crossed 200 units?
You moved from protected to unprotected rates, which are much higher and stay until you record six months in a row at 200 units or less.
