Sui Gas Bill Check Online: SNGPL and SSGC Duplicate Bill

A Sui gas bill in Pakistan comes from one of two companies: SNGPL in Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Islamabad and Azad Kashmir, or SSGC in Sindh and Balochistan. For a quick sui gas bill check, open your own company’s bill page and type the number printed on any old bill: the consumer number on SNGPL’s Get Your Gas Bill page, or the 10-digit customer number at viewbill.ssgc.com.pk. Both are free, and the bill that opens can be saved or printed as a duplicate gas bill.

Which company sends your Sui gas bill?

Pakistan has two piped-gas utilities and each one bills only its own region. Look at the name and logo at the top of an old bill, or go by where you live.

CompanyAreas servedNumber on the bill
SNGPL (Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited)Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Islamabad, Azad Jammu and KashmirConsumer number, 11 digits
SSGC (Sui Southern Gas Company Limited)Sindh and Balochistan, including Karachi and QuettaCustomer number, 10 digits

A number from one company does not work on the other company’s page, so choose the right site first.

Consumer number and customer number explained

This is the ID of your gas connection. It is different from the meter number and it is the same on every month’s bill.

SNGPL calls it the Consumer No. (some SNGPL screens say Account ID), and the samples on SNGPL’s own online forms have 11 digits. SSGC calls it the Customer Number and asks for exactly 10 digits.

You will find it in the top part of the bill, near the name and address. If you have no old bill, ask the owner or the previous tenant, or contact the company on 1199.

Official apps for a duplicate gas bill

SNGPL ConnectOn is on Google Play and the App Store under the name Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited. You can add your account, view and download bills, see a year of consumption, pay and register complaints.

SSGC Customer Connect is published by Sui Southern Gas Company. It shows current and past bills with the amount and due date, takes complaints and lists facilitation centres.

Many “gas bill checker” apps in the stores are not official. For gas bills, use only the two official apps above, and never share an OTP, PIN or password with anyone who calls or messages about your bill.

How a Sui gas bill is calculated

The meter counts gas in cubic metres. The bill converts this into hm3 (one hm3 is 100 cubic metres) to decide your slab, and into MMBTU, a unit of heat energy, to work out the price.

Households are split into two groups. A protected consumer is one whose average use in the last four winter months (November to February) was 0.9 hm3 or less. Everyone else is non-protected and pays more.

As of October 2026, the rates in force are those in OGRA’s notification effective 1 July 2025. OGRA’s website lists no newer household notification, and news reports in July 2026 said the government had decided to keep consumer tariffs unchanged for 2026-27.

Monthly useProtected (Rs per MMBTU)Non-protected (Rs per MMBTU)
Up to 0.25 hm3200500
Up to 0.5 hm3250No such slab
Up to 0.6 hm3300850
Up to 0.9 hm3350No such slab
Up to 1 hm3No such slab1,250
Up to 1.5 hm3No such slab1,450
Up to 2 hm3No such slab1,900
Up to 3 hm3No such slab3,300
Up to 4 hm3No such slab3,800
Above 4 hm3No such slab4,200

A fixed charge is added every month: Rs 600 for protected consumers, and for non-protected consumers Rs 1,500 up to 1.5 hm3 or Rs 3,000 above it. Meter rent (SSGC lists Rs 40 a month) and GST (18% in SSGC’s calculator) come on top.

Household consumers get the benefit of one preceding slab, except those above 4 hm3. Prices can change, so confirm the current figures on SSGC’s Domestic Rates page or on your own bill.

How to pay a gas bill online

Both companies accept internet and mobile banking, ATMs, bank branches and wallet apps such as Easypaisa and JazzCash. SNGPL also lists NADRA kiosks and post offices.

  1. Open your bank or wallet app and go to bill payment.
  2. Choose Gas, then SNGPL or SSGC.
  3. Enter your consumer or customer number.
  4. Check the name, amount and due date, then confirm.
  5. Keep the receipt until the next bill shows the payment.

Menu names differ slightly between apps. If you have not picked a wallet yet, read Easypaisa vs JazzCash.

Wrong or very high gas bill: what to do

  • Check the reading. Compare the current reading on the bill with the number on your meter.
  • Check for an estimate. If the meter could not be read, both companies issue an estimated (provisional) bill and adjust it in a later bill once an actual reading is taken.
  • Check the category. Heavier winter use pushes you into a higher slab and can move you out of the protected group.
  • Complain to SNGPL. Use the Lodge Complaint form (category “Billing Complaint”), call 1199 or email [email protected].
  • Complain to SSGC. Use the Complaints/Feedback form, call 1199 or visit a Customer Facilitation Centre. SSGC’s published target for wrong or excessive billing is within 15 days.
  • Escalate. If the company gives no relief, file with OGRA’s online complaint system. OGRA says decisions are typically reached within 90 days.

PTCL bill check online

PTCL’s official duplicate bill page is dbill.ptcl.net.pk. It asks for your phone number without the area code, the Account ID printed on your PTCL bill, and a captcha.

PTCL’s FAQ also describes a D-Bill option in its app, under Bill Inquiry & Payment. The PTCL helpline is 1218. More help is in our PTCL bill section.

Water (WASA) bills

Water bills are separate from gas. They come from your city’s water agency, such as WASA in Punjab’s big cities or the Karachi Water and Sewerage Corporation, and are checked on that agency’s own website with the consumer number on the water bill. See our water bills section.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is 1199 the helpline for both SNGPL and SSGC?

Yes. Both companies show 1199 on their official websites, and SSGC describes its call centre as open 24/7 for emergencies and complaints.

Can I check a Sui gas bill by CNIC, name or meter number?

No. The official bill pages ask only for the consumer number (SNGPL) or customer number (SSGC), so be careful with any site that asks for your CNIC (national identity card number) to show a bill.

Can I get my gas bill by email or SMS?

Yes. SNGPL has a “Register – Email Bill / SMS Alert” page and SSGC has a “Register for E-Bill” page, both linked from their official websites.

What is a protected gas consumer?

A household whose average use from November to February was 0.9 hm3 or less. Protected consumers pay lower slab rates and a lower fixed charge.

What does hm3 mean on a gas bill?

It means hundred cubic metres. A reading difference of 50 cubic metres is roughly 0.5 hm3.
