Which areas get a SEPCO bill
SEPCO’s own jurisdiction page lists these districts:
- Sukkur, Ghotki and Khairpur
- Kashmore (Kandhkot), Jacobabad and Shikarpur
- Larkana and Kamber Shahdadkot
- Dadu and Naushahro Feroze
- Parts of Jamshoro, Shaheed Benazirabad and Rahim Yar Khan districts
Until 2010 these areas were part of HESCO. SEPCO was formed in July 2010 and began operations in August that year. Homes in Hyderabad, Mirpurkhas, Badin and most of Nawabshah now get a HESCO bill, which you can check with our HESCO online bill guide. Most of Rahim Yar Khan district is in Punjab and is billed by MEPCO, covered in our MEPCO online bill guide.
SEPCO online bill check: step by step
- Go to bill.pitc.com.pk/sepcobill. The Duplicate Bill link on sepco.com.pk takes you to the same PITC web bill portal.
- Select Reference No or Customer ID at the top of the search box.
- Type the number without spaces. For a reference number, choose U or R in the drop-down so it matches the letter printed after the digits on your bill.
- Press Search. The page shows the consumer name, address, bill month, units, due date and payable amount.
- Make sure the bill month is the current one. A new bill is uploaded after meter reading, so early in the month you may still see the previous bill.
If you are not sure which company supplies your home, our online bill check page lists every distribution company with its official bill link.
Reference number and Customer ID on a SEPCO bill
Look at the top section of your paper bill. The reference number is a 14-digit number, usually printed in small groups and followed by a letter. Type all 14 digits together and set the letter in the drop-down.
The Customer ID is printed nearby and works as a second way to search. Both numbers stay the same every month, so save them in your phone. If you have lost every bill, an old bank or wallet receipt usually carries the reference number, or your SEPCO sub-division office can give it to you.
How to print or save a SEPCO duplicate bill
- Open the bill with your reference number.
- Tap the print option on the page, or open your browser menu and choose Print.
- Pick Save as PDF on a phone, or select your printer on a computer.
- Keep the file until the payment shows on your next bill.
The online copy shows the same reference number and payable amounts as the bill delivered to your door, so it can be used to pay at a bank counter. If the paper bill stops arriving, report it as a complaint so your address can be checked.
How to pay your SEPCO bill online
- Mobile banking: open Bill Payment, choose Electricity, select SEPCO and enter the reference number.
- Easypaisa: Bill Payment, then Electricity, then SEPCO. Enter the reference number and confirm the amount.
- JazzCash: Bill Payment, then Electricity, then SEPCO, and confirm with your MPIN.
- Bank counter: take the printed bill to a branch that accepts utility bills.
Pay before the due date to avoid the higher amount printed for late payment. Check that the name on the payment screen matches your bill, and keep the transaction ID. To choose between the two wallets, see our Easypaisa vs JazzCash comparison.
SEPCO complaint number and help
Government power companies, SEPCO included, use one complaint system run by PITC. You can reach it in these ways:
- Phone: call 118 for faults, outages and billing complaints.
- SMS: send your complaint to 8118.
- Online: register and track a complaint at ccms.pitc.com.pk, or email [email protected].
- Office visit: take your bill and CNIC to your SEPCO sub-division office for billing corrections.
Keep the complaint number you receive. If a billing dispute is still not settled, consumers can take it to NEPRA’s consumer affairs department, which hears complaints against all power companies.
Other SEPCO online services
- Load management schedule: SEPCO posts its feeder-wise load management schedule on sepco.com.pk under the Services menu.
- New connection: applications are made online through the Electricity New Connection (ENC) system at enc.com.pk, which the SEPCO website links to.
- New connection cost: PITC offers a new connection cost estimator, also linked from the SEPCO Services menu.
- Tariff guide: the Services menu links to the SEPCO tariff page on the NEPRA website.
For a change of name, meter shifting or load extension, visit your sub-division office with your latest bill and CNIC. Staff there can tell you which forms and documents are needed.
Understanding the charges on a SEPCO bill
Your bill starts with the units used, which is the present meter reading minus the previous one. The cost of those units is set by the NEPRA tariff for your category, and household rates rise in slabs as usage grows.
On top of the energy cost you will see fuel price adjustment (FPA), any quarterly adjustment, GST, electricity duty and other government charges. These change from month to month, which is why two bills with the same units can differ. SEPCO’s website links to its tariff guide on the NEPRA site, and our electricity bill check guide explains the slab system in plain words.

Electricity bill estimator
Units not known yet? Add each appliance you run:
Estimate only. It uses the base residential tariff notified in February 2026 (S.R.O. 279(I)/2026) and 18% sales tax. Fuel price adjustment, quarterly adjustment, surcharges, electricity duty and income tax change from month to month and are not included, so your real bill will be different. Always go by the bill issued by your company.
Treat the result as a guide only. Adjustments and taxes on the real bill can move the total up or down, and the bill on the PITC page is always the final word.
Common problems and fixes
- Record not found: remove spaces and the letter from the number, check the U or R setting, and make sure the bill is from SEPCO and not HESCO or another company.
- Last month’s bill still showing: wait a few days for the new upload and search again.
- Very high bill: compare the present reading on the bill with your meter. If the bill is higher, visit the sub-division office with a dated photo of the meter.
- Payment made but bill shows arrears: wallet and bank payments can take a few working days to post. Keep the receipt and complain on 118 if it still does not appear.
