Matric Result 2026: Check 9th and 10th Class by Roll Number
The matric result 2026 for the annual exams is already out for almost every board in Pakistan. The Federal Board announced its 9th and 10th class results on 29 July 2026, and the nine Punjab boards announced the 10th class result on 6 August and the 9th class result on 2 September 2026.
The fastest way to see your marks is to type your roll number on your own board’s official result page, or to text the roll number to the board’s SMS code. Both are listed on this page.

How to do a result check by roll number
Your roll number is the exam seat number printed on your roll number slip (the admit card you carried to the exam hall). Every board uses it to find your result.
- Open the official website of the board you sat the exam with. Use the table further down, not a link from a WhatsApp message.
- Tap Results or Online Results.
- Choose the exam: Matric or SSC, then Part I for 9th class or Part II for 10th class, and the year 2026.
- Type your roll number. Some boards also ask for a captcha code shown on the page.
- Submit, then check your name, father’s name, marks in each subject and the pass status.
- Save a screenshot or print the page. The original result card comes later through your school or the board.
The forms differ a little. BISE Lahore asks for level, roll number, exam type, year and a captcha. BISE Multan asks for the roll number and an exam session. The Federal Board portal lists each exam and has boxes for roll number and student name.
Can you check a result by name?
Mostly no. The official result pages of BISE Lahore and BISE Multan search by roll number only. The Federal Board portal is an exception because it also shows a student name box.
If you have lost your roll number, try these options:
- Ask your school. It has your roll number on record.
- Open the board’s result gazette (a PDF list of all candidates) when the board publishes it, and search for your name. Match the father’s name and school, because names repeat.
- Look for your roll number slip again. For example, BISE Lahore’s slip page for private candidates can be searched by name and father’s name.
Result by SMS
- Open a new text message.
- For a Punjab board, type only your roll number. For the Federal Board, type FB, a space, then your roll number.
- Send it to your board’s code from the table below.
- Wait for the reply. Your network charges for the message, and replies can be slow on result day.
BISE result websites and SMS codes for all boards
Use only the board that issued your roll number slip. Where a code is not shown, we could not confirm it from two reliable sources, so check the board’s own result notice.

Why all Punjab boards announce on the same day
The nine Punjab boards follow one result calendar set through the Punjab Boards Committee of Chairmen (PBCC). That is why Lahore, Multan, Faisalabad and the other six boards released the 2026 results on the same date and at the same time, 10:00 am.
Matric result 2026: what has been announced
| Board | Exam | Announced |
|---|---|---|
| BSEK Karachi | 10th class, science group | July 2026 |
| Federal Board | 9th and 10th class | 29 July 2026 |
| BISE Peshawar, BISE Abbottabad | SSC annual | 4 August 2026 |
| Nine Punjab boards | 10th class | 6 August 2026 |
| Nine Punjab boards | 9th class | 2 September 2026 |
| Balochistan Board, AJK BISE | SSC annual | Announced; see board site |
For any board or group not listed here, open the board’s own site for the exact date. We only print dates we could confirm.
Second annual (supplementary) exams 2026
If you failed one or more papers, the next chance is the second annual exam, which many people still call the supplementary exam. Admission forms for it closed in August.
- Punjab boards: written papers run from 6 to 28 October 2026 (10th class from 6 to 16 October, 9th class from 17 to 28 October). Practicals run from 30 October to 17 November 2026.
- Federal Board: SSC second annual papers started on 24 September 2026, and its practical-based papers continue until 24 October 2026.
No board has announced a date for the second annual result yet. Check your board’s site after the exams end.
Rechecking (paper re-totalling)
Rechecking does not mean your paper is marked again. The board checks that every answer was marked and that the marks were added up correctly.
- Punjab boards accept rechecking applications for 15 days after a result is declared, so the window for the 2026 annual matric results has closed.
- You apply on the board’s online rechecking page, pick the subjects and pay the fee shown there. BISE Multan says the fee is returned, less bank charges, if a mistake is found.
- The Federal Board calls the same service a recounting application. Peshawar and Abbottabad call it re-totalling.
Grades, percentage and pass marks
To find your percentage, divide the marks you obtained by the total marks on your result card and multiply by 100. For example, 858 out of 1,100 is 78%.
Two grading scales are in use in 2026, because the boards are moving to a new national policy step by step.
Older scale (pass mark 33%)
| Percentage | Grade |
|---|---|
| 80% and above | A+ |
| 70 to 79% | A |
| 60 to 69% | B |
| 50 to 59% | C |
| 40 to 49% | D |
| 33 to 39% | E |
New IBCC scale (pass mark 40%)
| Percentage | Grade |
|---|---|
| 96 to 100% | A++ |
| 91 to 95% | A+ |
| 86 to 90% | A |
| 81 to 85% | B++ |
| 76 to 80% | B+ |
| 71 to 75% | B |
| 61 to 70% | C+ |
| 51 to 60% | C |
| 40 to 50% | D |
| Below 40% | U (ungraded) |
The Federal Board applied the new scale to 9th class in 2026 and will apply it to 10th class from 2027. The Karachi matric board announced the same timetable. In September 2026 the Inter Boards Coordination Commission (IBCC) said the new policy had started in the Sindh, Federal, Mirpur (AJK) and Karakoram boards.
The 10th class results of 2026 were still under the older scale. For 9th class in Punjab, news reports do not agree on whether 33% or 40% applied, so go by the status printed on your own result card.

The grade shown is a guide. Boards are moving from the older scale to the new 10-grade scale step by step, so the grade printed on your result card is the one that counts.
Problems and fixes
- The site will not open: board servers are overloaded on result day. Use SMS, or try again after an hour.
- No record found: check that you picked the right part (9th or 10th), the year 2026 and annual or supplementary, and that you are on the right board’s site.
- Wrong name or marks: contact your school first, then the board. BISE Lahore, for example, has an online correction service for name, father’s name and date of birth.
- Result withheld: BISE Multan, for example, holds a result back until pending documents or fees are cleared. Call your board’s inquiry number.
- Someone offers your result for a fee: ignore it. Official checks are free, and you should never share a PIN, OTP or password with anyone who promises marks or a “result change”.
PK Portals is an independent guide. Only the result shown by your board is official.
