Who gets an SSGC bill

SSGC supplies piped gas in Sindh and Balochistan and has about 3.5 million customers. Its customer centres are grouped under six regions: Karachi, Hyderabad, Nawabshah, Sukkur, Larkana and Quetta.

Homes in Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Islamabad and Azad Kashmir are billed by a different company. If that is you, follow our SNGPL duplicate bill guide.

Your 10-digit SSGC customer number

Every SSGC connection has a customer number. The bill page accepts exactly 10 digits, so copy it carefully from any earlier bill, where it sits in the top section with your name and address.

The meter number is separate and will not bring up your SSGC online bill.

SSGC duplicate bill on the official website

  1. Open viewbill.ssgc.com.pk. From the main site, the same page is under Customer Management, then View Bill.
  2. Find the line “Please enter your 10-digit Customer Number to Pay / Download your Gas bill”.
  3. Type the customer number in the box beneath it and submit.
  4. Check that the name and address on the bill are yours.
  5. Download the bill, or print it from your browser.

The page needs nothing except the customer number. If a website wants your CNIC (national identity card number), a fee or a wallet PIN before showing an SSGC bill, close it. Official checks are free, and you should never share an OTP, PIN or password with anyone who calls or messages about a gas bill.

SSGC bill check in the Customer Connect app

SSGC Customer Connect is listed on Google Play and the App Store under Sui Southern Gas Company. Check that publisher name before installing, because unofficial bill apps use similar titles.

  1. Install SSGC Customer Connect and open it.
  2. Complete the sign-up the app asks for and add your customer number.
  3. Open Billing Information to see the current bill, past bills, the amount due and the due date.

The app also has complaint management, a list of facilitation centres with contact details, and “Pin the Pain” for reporting gas leaks, theft or fraud.

Register for an SSGC e-bill

If the paper copy often comes late or gets lost, sign up on SSGC’s Register for E-Bill page.

  1. Enter your SSGC customer number and choose Owner or Tenant.
  2. Write your full name as it appears on your CNIC.
  3. Give your email address and type the OTP that SSGC emails to you.
  4. Select your mobile network and enter the mobile number in the format shown (starting with 92).
  5. Pick one option: e-bill only, e-bill plus paper bill, or paper bill only.
  6. Accept the confirmation and press Submit.

SSGC notes on the form that it will keep sending physical bills until OGRA, the regulator, agrees to stop them.

How to read your SSGC bill

  • Customer number: the 10 digits you use for every check, payment and complaint.
  • Previous and current reading: the meter readings for the billing period, which SSGC keeps to about 30 days. On the meter, the first five digits from the left, shown in black, are cubic metres.
  • Units, pressure and GCV: the cubic metres used are adjusted for pressure and for the heating value of the gas (GCV) to give MMBTU, the energy unit you are charged on.
  • Category: Protected or Non-Protected. Protected means your average use in the last four winter months, November to February, was 0.9 hm3 or less.
  • Gas charges: MMBTU multiplied by the slab rate for your category.
  • Fixed charges and meter rent: as of October 2026, SSGC lists Rs 600 a month for protected consumers, Rs 1,500 for non-protected consumers up to 1.5 hm3 and Rs 3,000 above that, plus Rs 40 meter rent.
  • GST: SSGC’s own calculator applies 18%.
  • Due date: the last day to pay without a late payment surcharge.

Those amounts come from SSGC’s Domestic Rates page, which shows the OGRA prices effective 1 July 2025. To test your own readings, use SSGC’s Domestic Bill Calculator. The full slab table is in our Sui gas bill guide.

SSGC online bill payment

SSGC lists internet banking with many banks, ATMs, bank call centres, credit and debit cards, mobile wallets such as Easypaisa and JazzCash, retail agents, e-Sahulat kiosks, bank branches and post offices.

  1. Sign in to your bank app or wallet and open bill payments.
  2. Pick the gas category and choose SSGC.
  3. Type the 10-digit customer number.
  4. Match the amount with your bill, pay, and keep the transaction receipt.

Bill correction and other problems

The bill is wrong or far too high

Read your meter and compare it with the current reading printed on the bill. If they do not match, complain through any of these channels:

  • Call 1199, which SSGC describes as open 24/7 for emergencies and complaints.
  • Fill in the Complaints/Feedback form with your customer type, customer number, name, address, city, email, phone and message.
  • Visit a Customer Facilitation Centre (CFC) with the bill. SSGC lists 23 of them on its website.
  • Use the complaint option in the Customer Connect app.

SSGC’s published timelines are within 15 days for excessive or wrong billing and 3 working days for a meter reading issue, counted from your request.

You received a provisional bill

When the meter is not read in a cycle, SSGC issues a provisional bill and adjusts it against the next bill based on an actual reading. The remarks on the bill give the reason.

The bill never arrived

Download it from the bill page so you do not miss the due date, then report it. SSGC’s listed timeline for a “bill not received” complaint is 30 days, so an e-bill is the quicker fix.

The page shows a CNIC message

The bill page carries a notice asking customers to update the CNIC on their gas bill at the nearest Billing Zone or CFC with the original CNIC. SSGC also has an Update Your CNIC page on the same site.

SSGC has not solved it

You can take the matter to OGRA through its online complaint system. OGRA expects you to try the company first and says decisions are typically reached within 90 days.
