How to receive the payment in your digital wallet

  1. If you do not have a Benazir SIM, go to your nearest BISP office with your original CNIC and your own mobile phone. The SIM is free.
  2. Get the SIM only from a BISP office. BISP has warned that SIMs from other sources can cause problems.
  3. After you get the SIM, allow about 10 to 12 days before trying to withdraw, as reported in BISP guidance in July 2026.
  4. When the money arrives, your bank sends an SMS confirming the deposit.
  5. Visit any authorised retailer of a BISP partner bank and withdraw using your original CNIC and fingerprint.
  6. Check the SMS sent after withdrawal. It shows the amount taken out and the balance left in your wallet.

Keep the Benazir SIM in your own phone and never hand the phone to an agent. To see which SIMs are registered on your CNIC, use our SIM check guide.

Deductions and complaints

BISP says the full Rs14,500 must reach the beneficiary and that unauthorised deductions will not be tolerated. If a retailer or agent gives you less, file a complaint.

  1. Go to your nearest BISP tehsil office with your original CNIC and mobile phone.
  2. Ask the assistant director or duty officer for a deduction complaint form.
  3. Give your name, CNIC number, mobile number, the place where you were paid and details of the deduction. Staff can help you fill in the form.
  4. If the complaint is found valid, BISP says the bank acts against the agent and the deducted amount is returned.

You can also call the toll-free helpline 0800-26477.

Beware of fake BISP messages

  • Official BISP messages come from 8171. Messages from ordinary mobile numbers claiming you have won Rs14,500 or more are fake.
  • BISP never asks for a registration fee, and the SIM and survey are free.
  • Never share your wallet PIN or OTP, and do not click links in WhatsApp messages about BISP.
  • Ignore social media posts that announce payment dates. Rely on 8171, your bank SMS and the BISP office.

Common problems and fixes

  • 8171 says not eligible: your household data may be out of date. Visit the dynamic registry desk at the BISP tehsil office to update your survey.
  • Eligible but no payment SMS: check that you have collected the Benazir SIM and that it is working in your phone, then wait for the instalment to be released.
  • Fingerprint not matching: try another finger, wash and dry your hands, or ask the BISP office for help. Renew an expired CNIC through our NADRA online services guide.
  • Lost Benazir SIM: report it at the BISP office and ask how to get a replacement in your name.
