HAZECO Online Bill: Check Hazara Electric Bill Online

To check your HAZECO bill online, open the official PITC page bill.pitc.com.pk/hazecobill and enter the 14-digit reference number or Customer ID from your bill. The current bill opens on screen, and you can print it or save it as a free duplicate copy. This is the same page the Duplicate Bill button on hazeco.com.pk links to.

HAZECO, the Hazara Electric Supply Company, is Pakistan’s newest government power company. It was separated from PESCO and started independent operations on 1 July 2025, and it now supplies the eight districts of the Hazara region in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. PK Portals is an independent information site and is not linked to HAZECO, PITC or the Government of Pakistan.

Enter your reference number in the box below to open your bill on the official page.

Is HAZECO working, and which areas does it cover?

Yes. The Power Division notified the split of PESCO in August 2023, with the new company taking over the Hazara-I and Hazara-II circles. NEPRA granted HAZECO its distribution licence and a 20-year electric power supply licence in May 2025, and the company says it began independent operations on 1 July 2025.

According to NEPRA’s licence, HAZECO supplies these districts:

  • Abbottabad
  • Haripur
  • Mansehra
  • Battagram
  • Torghar
  • Upper Kohistan
  • Lower Kohistan
  • Kolai Palas

These areas include towns such as Abbottabad, Havelian, Haripur, Mansehra, Balakot and Battagram, which were all billed by PESCO before the split.

Peshawar, Mardan, Swat and the other settled districts remain with PESCO, so use our PESCO online bill guide if you live there. The merged tribal districts are served by TESCO, covered in our TESCO bill guide.

HAZECO bill check online: step by step

  1. Open bill.pitc.com.pk/hazecobill, or go to hazeco.com.pk and tap Download Duplicate Bill.
  2. Select Reference No or Customer ID.
  3. Type the number using digits only. For a reference number, choose U or R so it matches the letter after the number on your bill.
  4. Press Search. The bill shows your name, address, month, units, due date and payable amount.
  5. Check that the bill month is the latest one. If not, the new bill is not uploaded yet.

The PITC web bill portal now lists HAZECO as a separate company next to PESCO, LESCO and the others. Our online bill check page links to all of them.

Where to find the reference number and Customer ID

Both numbers are printed near the top of your HAZECO bill. The reference number has 14 digits, usually shown in groups, and is followed by a letter. Enter the digits without spaces and pick the matching letter in the U or R box.

The Customer ID is a separate number that opens the same bill. Save both numbers on your phone so you can check the bill even when the paper copy is late.

Old PESCO bill or new HAZECO bill?

If you live in Hazara, your bill now carries the HAZECO name, and the HAZECO page is the right place to check it. Always use the reference number printed on your latest bill. If a number taken from an old bill from before July 2025 gives no result, compare it with a recent bill or ask your sub-division office, because we could not confirm whether every old number carried over unchanged.

If you are not sure which company supplies your home, look at the company name printed at the top of your latest bill and use that company’s page.

How to download a HAZECO duplicate bill

  1. Open your bill on the PITC page.
  2. Tap the print option on the page or in your browser menu.
  3. Choose Save as PDF, or send it to a printer.
  4. Keep the copy until the payment shows on your next bill.

How to pay your HAZECO bill

  • Bank apps: HAZECO’s website reports agreements with HBL Konnect (June 2025) and National Bank of Pakistan (July 2025) for digital bill payments.
  • Other banking apps and wallets: open Bill Payment, then Electricity, and look for HAZECO. If it is not listed in your app yet, pay at a bank branch.
  • Bank counter: pay with the paper bill or a clear printout before the due date.

If your app lists HAZECO, select it rather than PESCO. Whichever app you use, check that the name and amount on the payment screen match your bill, and keep the receipt. Our Easypaisa vs JazzCash guide explains the two main wallets.

HAZECO complaint number and contact

  • 118: the PITC contact centre for power complaints, including faults and billing.
  • 8118: the complaint SMS number on the same system.
  • Online: the Register Complaint button on hazeco.com.pk opens the PITC complaint system at ccms.pitc.com.pk.
  • Head office: 0992-920211, College Road, Abbottabad. The website also has a contact form.
  • Sub-division office: visit with your bill and CNIC for meter and billing corrections.

Load shedding, tariff and other HAZECO services

The HAZECO website has its own load shedding schedule page, a tariff guide, a bill calculator, a new connection link and simple energy and meter load simulators. It also shows a HAZECO mobile app as launching soon, so check the website for its release rather than installing unofficial apps that use the company name.

How to read your HAZECO bill

  • Units: the present meter reading minus the previous reading.
  • Tariff: the NEPRA rate for your category. Household rates rise in slabs, so a few extra units near a slab limit can change the bill noticeably.
  • Adjustments: fuel price adjustment and quarterly adjustment, which can raise or lower the total.
  • Taxes: GST, electricity duty and other government charges listed separately.
  • Due date: the amount within the due date and a higher amount after it.

The slab system is explained in our electricity bill guide, and HAZECO’s website has a tariff page with slab rates. Check which NEPRA notification it quotes, because rates are revised from time to time.

HAZECO bill calculator

Estimate your units and bill from meter readings or the appliances you use with the calculator below.

Electricity bill estimator

Units not known yet? Add each appliance you run:

Estimate only. It uses the base residential tariff notified in February 2026 (S.R.O. 279(I)/2026) and 18% sales tax. Fuel price adjustment, quarterly adjustment, surcharges, electricity duty and income tax change from month to month and are not included, so your real bill will be different. Always go by the bill issued by your company.

The figure is an estimate. Fuel adjustments, taxes and other charges change from month to month, so the bill on the PITC page is the final amount.

Common problems and fixes

  • No record found: remove spaces and the letter, check the U or R choice, and use the reference number from your latest bill.
  • Searching on the wrong page: Hazara bills should be checked on the HAZECO page, while Peshawar and Mardan bills belong on the PESCO page.
  • Old month showing: the new bill has not been uploaded. Try again after a few days.
  • Wrong reading: take a dated photo of your meter to the sub-division office before the due date.
