BISE Kohat Result 2026: Check by Roll Number and SMS

The BISE Kohat result for 2026 can be checked free on the board’s website, bisekt.edu.pk, by typing your roll number and a short captcha code. The Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education Kohat holds the matric (SSC) and intermediate (HSSC) exams for Kohat, Karak, Hangu, Orakzai and Kurram districts and the Darra Kohat sub-division.

Both annual results for 2026 are already out. The 9th and 10th class result came on 5 August 2026 and the 11th and 12th class result on 21 September 2026. The SSC Annual-II (supplementary) exams have been postponed until further notice, so no supplementary result is due yet.

The SSC Annual-II papers were first due to start on 7 October 2026. The Kohat board’s notice, signed by the Controller of Examinations, says a fresh schedule will be announced later.

How to check the BISE Kohat result by roll number

  1. Keep your roll number slip in front of you. The search works only with a roll number.
  2. Open bisekt.edu.pk on your phone or computer.
  3. Open the Results menu. Choose Latest Result SSC for 9th or 10th class, or Latest Result HSSC for 11th or 12th class.
  4. Type your roll number in the box under Result (Search By Roll Number).
  5. Enter the captcha code exactly as it appears, then press Submit.
  6. Check your name, subject marks, total and status (pass, fail or supply) on the screen.
  7. Save a screenshot. The online result is for information only, and the detailed marks certificate (DMC) is the official record.

For an older result, use the All Results page instead. Pick SSC or HSSC, choose the year (the list goes back to 2007), select the session, then enter the roll number and captcha. The same page is used for result verification.

Kohat board result by SMS

The Kohat board’s website does not publish an SMS code for results. Some news reports, including ProPakistani, say you can type your roll number and send it to 9818. Because the board has not confirmed this on its own site, use the website first and treat the SMS route as a backup. Normal SMS charges may apply.

Result by name and the result gazette

There is no search by name on the BISE Kohat result pages. If you have lost your roll number, open the Roll No: Slip menu and download your slip again, ask your school or college, or call the helpline with your registration details.

The board prepares a result gazette, but it is meant for schools and colleges, which obtain it through the board for a fee listed on the Gazette Fee page. It is not offered as a free public download, so be careful with gazette files shared on social media.

DMCs, roll number slips and date sheets

  • DMCs: regular students collect their detailed marks certificates from their school or college. Private candidates collect them from the board’s camp offices. News reports said SSC DMCs were available from 11 August 2026 and HSSC DMCs from 26 September 2026.
  • Roll number slips: the Roll No: Slip menu has slips for HSSC Annual-I 2026 and SSC Annual-II 2026. Slips for private SSC Annual-II candidates were released on 29 September 2026.
  • Date sheets: a revised SSC Annual-II date sheet was posted on 7 October 2026, but the exams were later postponed until further notice. Wait for the new date sheet in the board’s News section before preparing for a fixed date.
  • Camp offices: the board lists camp offices in Kohat, Hangu (Doaba), Thall, Sadda (Lower Kurram) and Karak, with contact numbers on its website.

Re-totaling and show of papers

If you think your marks were added up wrongly, you can apply for re-totaling. This is a recount of the marks already given in your answer book, not a fresh marking. The board also runs show of papers, where a candidate can see their own answer script on a fixed date.

  1. Open the re-totaling page from the Student Information Corner on bisekt.edu.pk.
  2. Enter your roll number and registration number exactly as printed on your DMC.
  3. Add your mobile number and CNIC or B-Form number, then select the subjects you want rechecked.
  4. Confirm the form and download the computerised bank challan.
  5. Pay the fee at any National Bank branch or through 1Link/1Bill. The board does not accept old or manual challans.

For the 2026 annual exams, the HSSC re-totaling form now shows that the date is over. The board published re-totaling results on 29 September 2026 and is posting daily HSSC show of papers lists in October, so check the Notifications page for your roll number.

Calculate your percentage

Enter your obtained and total marks from the result card to see your percentage and an estimated grade.

Marks percentage and grade calculator

The grade shown is a guide. Boards are moving from the older scale to the new 10-grade scale step by step, so the grade printed on your result card is the one that counts.

The formula is simple: obtained marks divided by total marks, multiplied by 100. BISE Kohat publishes the grading scale below on its Grading Criteria page. The grade printed on your DMC is the official one, so use the calculator only as a guide.

PercentageGrade
80% and aboveA-1 (Outstanding)
70% to below 80%A (Excellent)
60% to below 70%B (Very good)
50% to below 60%C (Good)
40% to below 50%D (Fair)
Below 40% down to the pass marksE (Satisfactory)

Common problems and fixes

  • Site is slow on result day: traffic is heavy in the first few hours. Try again later or use a computer instead of mobile data.
  • No record found: make sure you opened the right page (SSC or HSSC) and, on the All Results page, the right year and session.
  • Captcha keeps failing: refresh the page and type the new code carefully, including capital letters.
  • Spelling mistake in name or date of birth: the board has a corrections procedure listed in its Student Information Corner. Apply early, before you need the certificate for admission.
  • Fake calls and messages: ignore anyone who offers to increase marks for money. Pay fees only through a challan made on the board’s own portal.
