Which university declares your MDCAT result

In its 1 October 2026 clarification, PM&DC said the universities nominated by provincial and regional governments set the papers, printed and transported them, prepared the answer keys and declared the results. In an earlier briefing, PM&DC said each province received at least two separate 180-question papers built from a common syllabus and question bank.

  2. Click the entry tests (ET) option.
  3. Find the row for the MDCAT 2026 result held on 20 September 2026 and click Search Result.
  4. Enter the details the page asks for, such as your roll number, and view your score.
  5. Download or screenshot the result, because you will need your MDCAT marks for admission forms.

Other regions

Go to the website of the university that conducted your test (KMU, Sukkur IBA, Bolan University or SZABMU) and look for the MDCAT 2026 result notice. Do not wait for a result on the PM&DC website. Its MDCAT result page only lists older sessions (2020 to 2022), and PM&DC has said the universities declare the 2026 results.

MDCAT passing marks 2026

Under the PM&DC Medical and Dental Undergraduate Education (Admissions, Curriculum and Conduct) Policy and Regulations 2025, a candidate needs at least 55 percent in MDCAT for MBBS and 50 percent for BDS. On a 180-mark paper, that works out to 99 marks for MBBS and 90 marks for BDS. UHS used the same thresholds in its 2026 result.

Passing only makes you eligible. Admission depends on your aggregate and the closing merit of each college, which is usually far higher than the pass mark.

Aggregate formula for MBBS and BDS

SZABMU’s admission notice for 2026-27, issued under the PM&DC regulations, uses this merit formula:

ComponentWeight
Matric (SSC) or equivalent10%
FSc pre-medical (HSSC) or equivalent40%
MDCAT50%

To estimate your aggregate, turn each score into a percentage, multiply it by its weight and add the three. For example, 90 percent in matric (9.0), 85 percent in FSc (34.0) and 150 out of 180 in MDCAT, which is 83.33 percent (41.67), give an aggregate of about 84.67 percent. Provincial admission authorities publish their own rules, so confirm the formula in your province’s admission notice.

The same notice requires at least 60 percent marks in FSc pre-medical or an equivalent 12th grade qualification. If you are still waiting for your intermediate result, see our FBISE result, KPK board result, BBISE Quetta result and AJK Board result guides.

After the result: admission next steps

  • Federal public colleges (SZABMU): online applications for Federal Medical College Islamabad, Shaikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al-Nahyan Medical and Dental College Lahore and the School of Dentistry Islamabad run from 11 to 30 October 2026 at admission.szabmu.edu.pk. The processing fee is Rs. 3,000 each for MBBS and BDS.
  • Accepted MDCAT years: SZABMU’s notice accepts MDCAT 2026, 2025 or 2024 passed from SZABMU, UHS, KMU, BUMHS or IBA Sukkur.
  • Punjab and other provinces: each admitting university publishes its own schedule for public and private colleges. Watch the UHS, KMU, Sindh and Balochistan admission pages, as dates for 2026-27 were not all published when we checked.
  • Documents to prepare: SSC and HSSC certificates or IBCC equivalence, CNIC, NICOP or passport, domicile certificate, MDCAT result and a recent photograph, as listed in the SZABMU notice.

Recounting and complaints

PM&DC says any complaint about the 2026 exam must go to the university that conducted it. UHS has a Result Recount/Review portal at portals.uhs.edu.pk for Punjab candidates. Other universities announce their own review process with their result notice, so read it carefully and apply within the deadline.

Common problems

  • MDCAT portal not opening: mdcat.pmdc.pk was the registration portal and was not responding when we checked. Results are on the university websites anyway.
  • Searching the PM&DC result page: it shows only 2020 to 2022 sessions, so a 2026 roll number will not work there.
  • Fake merit lists: rely only on lists posted on the admitting university’s website, not on social media screenshots.
